Spraying people generally leads to the best possible resolution. They're temporarily fucked up without lasting effects. I wish more law enforcement was liberal with it instead of other means. It'll put down most people unless they're immune or super duper high.

Yeah I hate all these people (not here so far) that said I shoulda done this that or thr other cause I woulda been justified. All things that could have led to injuries. Such as slamming his face into the wall.

I will do those things if I feel like my life really is in jeporday but honestly with how fucked up he was I really didn't feel threatened at all cause I had faith back up was coming all I had to do was hold him off till them. I believed in the moment he was just flailing his legs cause he was tweeking. Once a kick landed that clearly seemed deliberate I pulled it.

Punched me in the chin but I bobbed my head back quick enough it was mostly a glance. I felt it but it didnt have enough power to even knock my head back.

I'm not positive but I think mace and oc spray are different. Same intended effect.

Don't try to get me to spell it but OC is just short for a type of pepper. It's related to cayenne pepper or however it's spelled. Then it has oil added to make it stick to the skin.

Stuff is actually safe for consumption known people to spray it in their food and eat it

They had kicked me multiple times I just initially took it as them being high and flailing. The one where I ended up spraying him just was the point where I was like ok he's kicking me deliberately.

Fighting people high on this shit they smoke ain't fun. I've done it before just first time one has swung on me. Before it was just basically a wrestling match. The last time it took 5 of us to put him in cuffs. And as said he didn't swing on me he was just resisting.

It usually stops them in their tracks what we carry is hot as hell. Dude was high didn't phase him much. But with my partner using the big can it made the floor slippery. With that it made it easy to sweep dude off his feet.

Trust me normally the spray is effective. I caught some or it and fortunately only one eye. Cause I couldn't open that eye for shit.

Idk if dude himself could see after that but I had my hands on him so he knew where I was .

Yeah. These people get gorilla strength when high on some of this shit. My blessing was he was too high to fight effectively. He had more raw strength than me just couldn't use it effectively.

When I say he kicked me in the shin I mean he was on the ground on his side cocked his leg back (bending his knee) and let loose. Had he been more on point and hit me in the knee he coulda easily taken me down.

Pepper spray was the least violent appropriate response to that.

Someone looking excessive force would have jumped on top of him and pounded his face in.

They say most of us will experience an assault within our career. So it finally happened.

Try to keep it short here but I'll explain more if people ask. Dude was high as fuck I asked him to get up out of his bed that he was going up front (liability. If they are high we send up front to be monitored more closely in case of a over dose) he fell out of his bed and started flailing. Eventually he did what seemed to be a deliberate kick and hit me in the shin. So I sprayed him. He jumped and punched me. Partner sprayed him but I got caught in the cross fire. Despite that I took him to the ground and we got him cuffed up.

Honestly the pepper spray wasn't seemingly phasing him. Mybpartner just used a big can which unloads a lot. Made the floor slippery and I used that to my advantage to take him off his feet.

Got a lot of what I coulda shoulda done but I'm sorry I actually felt little threat from dude due to how fucked up he was. I wasn't about to use excessive force just cause he hit me. I got the job done without all that.

I actually took more damage from my partner spraying him cause I got hit too. I forgive her though cause as said it made the floor slippery which made it all too easy to take him off his feet.

My worst is me being a bit of a dumv ass. We had a feral cat that somehow got chemical burns that wouldn't heal. We tried to capture her various ways but one day I got close enough and lunged and caught her by the tail. She tore me up bit I had her.

I hate it cause she's fun to work with. I nodded off once in front of her and we ended up in a full blown argument over it but next day she acted like it never happened and is always super friendly.

Yeah I shouldn't sleep at work but this job gets super boring after 12. It's hard to not nod off. And the supervisors actually don't like you snitching about it if you ain't at least made attempts to wake them up and help keep them awake. Now they more or less say fuck off I'm gonna sleep that's a different story. Since rehab I've been good at not really sleeping at work but still I might nod off for a couple of minutes. All she had to do was wake me up.

Her snitching went no where though. Kinda hard to convince them I was sleeping when I showed my face on camera at a minimum of every 15 minutes the whole shift.

Was working with this girl who allegedly snitches on co workers. But only the white ones.

We started talking about where we live and I live in what's the "hood" of this rural town and she told me I was fucking crazy. She said she would never wanna live in a black neighborhood (she's black btw) and she'll take her white neighbors anyway cause she intends to not have her shit stolen.

So now I really don't know what to think of her.

Only times my house has been broke into its been white people. And definitely don't leave appliances out around here. The meth heads will strip every single copper wire.

I might be in the "hood" but 3 years now and they've left me alone. Probably think I'm a cop lol.

Idk. That's one I'm on the fence about. Losing a job ain't the end of the world. There are assistance programs. And the freaking out thing might just be a short lived emotional outburst. If they went that long they clearly wanted the kid.

And I've seen it people you'd think shouldn't have kids cause they just ain't mature enough. They stumble around at first but a lot of times the kid is what finally makes them grow the fuck up. Not always the case but I've seen it

My brother was a sorry ass father for like the first two years. Same with the mother. I practically raised that kid those 2 Years. Even got her to walk. Now I'd say he's a damn good father. Mother is still iffy but she has her moments. And definitely better than she was.

But I digress. In a perfect world I'd think that late it should be a case by case thing.

But ultimately I don't care as it's not me not my kid. So if it where fully legal you wouldn't hear me bitching.

Take it from me. I tend to handle situations poorly... the first time. Hopefully you won't deal with this again but if you do I suspect you'll handle it better.

The one area I woulda differed from you on is I would have killed it myself due to my pet being in danger.

I will get away from snakes wasps hornets etc if I'm by myself or around someone I know isn't that bothered in dealing with it. But a pet or loved one that isn't so brave... yeah my fear goes out the window to a degree.

Made a snake look like hamburger meat with a shovel cause it snapped at my brothers dog. So yeah there was still some fear. I say that cause I didn't stop swinging until I was 150% sure it was dead.

Wasps are my biggest fear due to child hood trauma. I will freeze the fuck up if I see one. One stung my mom once. Normally she ain't bothered by them but it nailed her good and I didn't even think and killed it with my bare hand.

Not for fun but I could see a young girl starting to freak out later in the pregnancy cause it's finally starting to sink all what she's about to go through. Or lost her job that far into it.

Never got wanting fast cars. You can't legally drive as fast as even a average car can get up to.

Now I do like acceleration though. I like being able to get up to the speed limit in short order. It's nice when I'm in a hurry and pull out in front of someone but don't wanna cause them to have to slow down. I gun it till I hit the speed limit and let off there.

An AI judge would likely have put me in prison this April. Id have gotten out on parole a week ago. Instead I got a human judge with human spontaneity and human empathy, and instead I am currently serving a community sentence.

Better for my family, better for myself and better for the community (since Im about to start work again, ergo, paying taxes). All thanks to the fact a human being was given the decision.

But I know a couple that's been raped in mine simply cause they look effeminate and they don't act tough. One ended up willingly becoming someone's bitch cause he at least got along with him.

It was explaining if we had AI controlled robot cops that learned based on statistics they would become racist.

Can't remember all it said but I basically boiled down to higher crime areas tend to be majority black where as white criminals are more spread out over a larger area so naturally its gonna choose to have a higher patrol rate in black areas. Also AI wouldn't be taking into account stuff like people falling into a life of crime due to poverty.

Basically boils down to the AI would end up spinning the same logic human cops do to be racist. Only difference being is the AI would truly belive it where as humans just use the logic to defend the racism.

Not saying I believe any of that just stating I read a article on it. But I can see it potentially happening if they don't design the AI well enough.

I thought about doing it cause I hated the circuit breaker was in my room and they where tripping the thing near daily. But I had enough sense to know it was a dumb idea.
My second idea was to drill a hole through the wall and attach a long thick metal wire to the switch that always flipped so they could flip it from the next room over. Never did either

Anywho I learned about the top image cause I had a friend who thought it would be hilarious to cause the power to go out in a hotel. He cut the cord off the lamp in the room twisted the wires and plugged it in.

About a hour later he went up front and whined about the power cause he got bored not having power to play video games

I coulda not paid my last car at all..wouldn't have done shit to me other than my credit but that's whatever. My brother has survived off just buying cars out of other people's driveways. I could do the same. But the bank would have lost money.

How do you get people to pay things back? Well, allow me to introduce you to the concept of... credit scores. You don't pay stuff back, you have higher interest rates and people are less likely to loan to you. That's how you get people to pay things back.

All it sounds like is you're trying to justify shitty debt collectors.

I've lived most of my life with zero credit and got by. Not really a punishment if you got other people helping you. And it doesn't help said company get their money at all.

Yeah, not having debt collectors do things like they do. I literally had someone charge me money for equipment from a place I wasn't living, and called debt collectors to try to force me to pay for the equipment despite the fact that I clearly wasn't living in the place. IE, I was living there in say 2020, left, and then they want to charge me for equipment from 2023. I tell them it wasn't mine, and they state that they didn't care that it wasn't mine, because "on their records I was the last person living there."

Not only is that easily provable, but I told them this and they still charged me anyways and I'm having to fight that. THEN they send you mail saying you HAVE to fight this and if you don't fight it by x day, they'll "assume it's true" (WTF) and then give you debts that you more than likely don't even owe.
