A lot of well published feminists are also anti-trans because it "diminishes the experience of women" or some shit, does that make it right? They are judging an issue/people/community without being apart of or understanding it.

Most of the arguments you've presented also apply to vanilla sex. Guy penetrates girl IS "patriarchal sexual ideology." How do you resolve that cognitive dissonance? In a community where M/F, F/M, F/F, and M/M are all equally accepted, how is that any less egalitarian than a community which necessarily cordons off mates into pairs? Is a lesbian couple less lesbian for using a strap-on? That's just a step away from the logic used in the essays you linked. If you're into kink, just read the first sentence of this interview,

I spent June and July of 1980 in rural Vermont, an idyllic, green, vital world, alive in a short summer season. I teach there summers and winters. One afternoon, Sue (another teacher) and I lay sunbathing on a dock in the middle of a small pond. I suddenly imagined what it would be like to see someone dressed in black leather and chains, trotting through the meadow, as I am accustomed to seeing in my urban neighborhood in San Francisco I started laughing as one of the parameters of the theater of sadomasochism became clear; it is about cities and a created culture, like punk rock, which is sustained by a particularly urban technology.
Does that sound like someone who understands the dynamics of kink? Who understands topping from the bottom, safewords, or boundaries?
Seriously, if you understand kink just read the article and look at how ridiculously it portrays kink. It has all the understanding of an episode of CSI - maybe less. It's far more concerned with its portrayal in the media, connection to perceptions of lesbianism, and possible personal misunderstanding than it is concerned with what actually happens.
And it's pretty fair to attack them for their age considering they're mostly talking about kink culture in their area rather than play that happens behind the bedroom door.

But if some old names are going to guilt you for what you like without you actually questioning what they've written, I don't see how I can change that opinion.

But for many people with fetishes, they discover that fetish before they ever had sex; for fetishes that do not need to explicitly involve a sex act, I've heard of people having a sexual awakening to it before even knowing they're also regular sexual attracted to people
That's me. I discovered my fetish somewhere between ages 2-5. That's more important to me than "vanilla" sexual attraction. It's just an unchangeable facet of who I am.

You can have a "growing desensitization" to just about anything. Vanilla sex, another person, hobbies, jobs, family members, food, and so on, as well as vices like alcohol and drugs. Having that experience doesn't mean it's somehow bad for you, you just need to come to terms with how it's affecting your life and how you'd like it to change (or not).

Garabandal posted...
I guess at the end of the day i wonder if kink is even compatible with progressive politics. Since most feminist theory is anti-kink
Why? Kink can be just as egalitarian as anything else.

There's nudity in the manga.

I think usually it's actual censorship. The artist drew nips, but they got scrubbed out. I prefer barbie boobs to awkward beams of light. I'm rarely reading shitty boobie manga for the naked women, and the ones with actual good women generally come uncensored (Dorohedoro).

THEY should've sued, Post Office did nothing wrong (to him).
No, just incomplete reporting.
Petitioner Gerald Groff is an Evangelical Christian who believes for religious reasons that Sunday should be devoted to worship and rest. In 2012, Groff took a mail delivery job with the United States Postal Service. Groffs position generally did not involve Sunday work, but that changed after USPS agreed to begin facilitating Sunday deliveries for Amazon. To avoid the requirement to work Sundays on a rotating basis, Groff transferred to a rural USPS station that did not make Sunday deliveries. After Amazon deliveries began at that station as well, Groff remained unwilling to work Sundays, and USPS redistributed
Groffs Sunday deliveries to other USPS staff. Groff received progressive discipline for failing to work on Sundays, and he eventually resigned.

  • The story kinda sucks and the way its told really sucks.
For comparison, D3 had dialogue issues but the story largely didn't interfere with gameplay. The fight between heaven and hell and Malthiel's story were pretty cool. The cutscenes were big moments, the VA'd scenes were generally integral to your understanding, incidental dialogue was told as you fought off hordes of demons and told through gameplay. D4, by contrast, constantly stops gameplay to tell you nothing important.
  • D3 was too saturated, so D4 looks super washed out.
There are only two colors in the game, red and blue. Everything else is shades of red and blue. Fog and rain effects constantly wash out scenes. There's very rarely any brightness even when the Sun should be shining. A few places are yellow/brown, but almost every area only contains maximum 2 colors. Look at any screenshot or stream and count how many distinct colors there are.
  • Builds have less variation than D3 and worse balance than D2.
Explaining this would require going in depth into D3, but the balance issue is pretty readily apparent.

I work at Starbucks. Almost all the food we "throw away" is perfectly edible, it's just not up to taste standards. Would you want a stale croissant for $4 or would you want a fresh one? Virtually all stores that can are supposed to donate, but the issue is that most stores can't consistently get reputable charities to come on a consistent schedule. We're not going to keep a fridge full of "expired" food, nor consistently check their dates, just to wait for a charity that may or may not come by. Starbucks doesn't want to go out of their way to deliver the food, either.

But the main reason we throw away food is profit. Giving away food at the end of the night creates an expectation that it may happen again, so people buy less earlier in the day.

We also waste so much food stocking our display case every single day, and I don't know why. That's food we're not allowed to sell because it is actually unsafe, but there's no reason we can't just use pictures or plastic molds.

Even going backwards to 12, it had serious issues because development couldn't stay on pace. Same story for 13, then 15 basically released unfinished. Modern AAA development is a shitshow with too many cooks, rapidly advancing technology, and exponential labor costs as plans for a game get bigger. What games even come close to what old FF accomplished? Red Dead Redemption 2? The Last of Us? Persona? Yakuza? They all have bits and pieces, but don't really fill the space that FF6-10 filled. It's telling that even just an upscaled FF9 is popular even with new players to the series and genre.

Nyer v. Munoz-Mendoza
https://casetext.com/case/nyer-v-munoz-mendoza
An examination of the permanent injunction at bar reveals that it forbids any communication by "signs or notices of any kind," presumably as to any topic as well as in any configuration. The injunction further provides that the defendant "may post signs or notices within her apartment, except that area which is visible to public view" (emphasis supplied). Clearly a sign in the demised area which could be seen through a window by passersby would be in violation of such an injunction. Such a result cannot be justified on the basis of landlord and tenant law. It cannot survive a constitutional challenge. See Spence v. Washington,418 U.S. 405 (1974) (flag with peace symbol displayed from apartment window is constitutionally protected speech).
Sure seems to be protected free speech. Though lawyers say a lease agreement "may be enforceable, but aren't sure."

No, basic UI/UX issues like:
  • Showing what affixes roll on a piece of gear

  • Organizing the stats on gear in a consistent manner.
Those are just design failures, probably because the game needed some more time to bake.

I never played D3, but was the UI so awful on consoles in that?

Playing the game works well enough, but all of the menus are combos of hit this button, then a completely different button but if you hit the wrong button you go somewhere completely different and cant just go back but sometimes you can depending on where you went, then you can finally scroll around maybe and find stuff. I just want to use some intuitive tabs pls like a normal menu. They didn't fuck this up on the mobile game
That's the type of stuff I'm talking about. D3 didn't have these issues, or at least nearly as many.

I am not talking about movement speed or stash tabs, which have issues, too. But really basic shit that should've been fixed before the game released.

I think the story, graphics, and gameplay have some issues, too. But people don't want to talk about those yet...

ChocoboMog123

During her tenure as United States Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton drew controversy by using a private email server for official public communications rather than using official State Department email accounts maintained on federal servers. After a years-long FBI investigation, it was determined that Clinton's server did not contain any information or emails that were clearly marked classified.[1] Federal agencies did, however, retrospectively determine that 100 emails contained information that should have been deemed classified at the time they were sent, including 65 emails deemed "Secret" and 22 deemed "Top Secret". An additional 2,093 emails were retroactively designated confidential by the State Department.[2][3][4][5]
Some experts, officials, and members of Congress contended that Clinton's use of a private email system and a private server violated federal law, specifically 18 U.S. Code 1924, regarding the unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or materials, as well as State Department protocols and procedures, and regulations governing recordkeeping. Clinton claimed that her use complied with federal laws and State Department regulations, and that former secretaries of state had also maintained personal email accounts (however Clinton was the only secretary of state to use a private server).[6] News reports by NBC and CNN indicated that the emails discussed "innocuous" matters already available in the public domain.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillary_Clinton_email_controversy

It's mostly just an IT issue. For contrast's sake, Obama and Hillary were instructed by secret service to not use BlackBerrys or personal phones - Trump was giving out state secrets as a brag and tweeting on the toilet.

Yeah, you heard me!

The final boss fight is so basic. Bowser gives you tons of free turns and the set up of the fight basically disables most strats you'd like to try.

The music is bland. There's a few good songs, the snow themed songs are particularly memorable. But the rest of the music ranges from whatever to kinda bad. The battle music gets really repetitive, which isn't a good sign for an RPG. The flower section is one of the longest and has purposefully bad music. Honestly, I think Nintendo is kinda weak in the music department in general, especially with Mario, and it shows here.

It's a little disturbing just how much of the game is beat-for-beat SMRPG. They should have done much more to differentiate the games, IMO.

I didn't faff around with most of the sidequests this playthough, but I remember liking them in the past. They still don't measure up to SMRPG, but they add some much needed filler to an otherwise extremely linear RPG.

Speaking of, almost all the puzzles are "pull out partner, use skill." The quiz mini-game with Peach is fantastic, more actual minigames would have been appreciated.

On the pro side, the dialogue, character, and environment were all fantastic. Most of the jokes landed well (though I disliked Kolorado more than I did as a kid). I can't think of any Mario game that's closer to the Mario Movie than this one, especially the way Bowser and Peach interact.

Overall, a generous B. B- if I'm being critical. It's a cure schmaltzy game with good dialogue, but kinda basic. I don't blame you if you love the game, but that's how I feel. That's how I felt ~20 year ago, and that feeling remained upon replay.

You know that sign that says "employees must wash hands after using restroom"?

Well this is exactly what happens if they don't do that (or don't go a good enough job of it)
I had to tell a 16 year old this week to wash his hands. He said he washed them in the bathroom. I had to convince him, yes, you wash them again before you start making things people will put in their mouths. Apparently when he took his computer based training he just skipped through as much as possible and no one ever called him on it.

Every Tiffany is essentially named after Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Emma saw a huge resurgence from Friends.
There's lots of Leia from Star Wars.

This has always been a thing.

I replayed the original somewhat recently. It's still somewhat impressive just how detailed everything is. Obviously there's limitations, but like if you want to dive down into a liquid storage area you can, even though there's nothing there. The enemies will move around when they're not on screen. The characters react to what you are doing.

I don't know if this story is fake or not, but some widely published stories about North Korea have been faked.

Notably, the infamous story about Kim Jong Un's ex-girlfriend. It was reported by a South Korean news paper that she was executed and spread through Western news. Bizarrely, Dennis Rodman, who is personal friends with Kim Jong Un, publicly stated this rumor was false. Several years later, she turned up alive and well.

I don't support North Korea whatsoever. I'm just saying, some of the crazy stories from there have been proven false.
