Wrong. If you don't like stylizing jojo-style fights, don't watch Jojo.

There are people who love Naruto and DBZ and Shokugeki no Soma and Yakitate Japan and Madoka and Gundam and whatever else... who do not like Jojo.

Don't lump Jojo with anime fights overall, because it is the weird exception. And I say that as someone who likes Jojo and dislikes Madoka. While being varying levels of love and "eh its okay" with the rest.

Jojo is not anime. It is a form, a delightful form, of anime. But it is no more relevant to anime than is someone cooking a bread that allows you to time travel.
It's kind of reductive, but 'I gotta slog through all of part 3 to get to Dio' is pretty reductive, too.

Like you didn't enjoy the D'arbys, Pet Shop, Oingo Boingo, Hol Horse, B A B Y S T A N D, Polnareff's totally rational fear of toilets, Kakyoin tongue-punching cherries, Joseph's air travel, or that goofy pose Polnareff make while taking a picture? If none of that was enjoyable, I just don't think Jojo is right for the TC.

McDonald's has better desserts and much better chicken.

Here's some summarized quotes from recent interviews:
  • Season 2 will aim to encourage new players to start playing Diablo 4 for the first time, as well as add new content to bring back existing players.
  • The team claims that the 'Solo Self Found' mode in Diablo III took ten years to implement. Rod Fergusson mentioned that they are fortunate to be able to use previous titles in the franchise to see what worked and what hasn't, even Diablo Immortal.
  • Blizzard wants Diablo 4 to be broadly approachable across all kinds of players, which has been a challenge and a balance, especially when adding new content.
  • When talking about MMO features, such as raids and group content, the developers stated that there is nothing to announce, but that they are always looking to build on the foundation of Diablo 4, nothing is off the table.
  • Over time they will add more and more to the open world, but nothing to announce at this time.
  • The changes Blizzard implemented previously were not about slowing the game down, but adding possibilities for other builds to shine so that there isn't just one way to play a certain class. The team is aware that there are balance issues that need to be addressed, but they also want to make sure that challenges feel like challenges so that you aren't just blowing through them all the time.
  • When talking about responsiveness Rod Fergusson teased that leaderboards are planned for Season 3.
  • They wanted to make sure to get leaderboards right, but they know they are important to the ARPG audience, and the game had to be stabilized first in terms of balance and designing the leaderboards right.
  • When asked what classes Rod Fergusson would personally like to see in Diablo 4 he said "It's kinda cheating, because I know what all our roadmap is." That said, Rod Fergusson really liked that Diablo Immortal added a new class. They knew they had to have a mixture of homage to the past, what people loved, and a twist for the future in Diablo 4. Rod Fergusson would be excited to see something completely new in Diablo 4!
  • Blizzard is aware of the feedback regarding being able to respec the Paragon Board with one click. It's on their list.
  • Blizzard will think about the idea of loot filters and will take it back home.
  • Blizzard is aware of the feedback regarding an overlay map. It's on their list.
  • Unique item drop rates will be increased across the board.
  • Blizzard acknowledged the feedback regarding an Armory/Loadout system similar to Diablo 3 and they added it to their list.
  • Helltide, NMD, Tree of Whispers, and PvP felt like a great starting place for Diablo 4's endgame. "This is the beginning and not the ending. This is the foundation we are building upon."
  • Diablo 4's endgame will evolve over time, starting with the 5 bosses in Season 2, and leaderboards in Season 3.
  • "It is a balancing act, depending on what it is we are trying to address. It can obviously take development time to get it right. You don't want to be too hasty to rush change, because you may end up imbalancing the game in a different way that you maybe didn't foresee. You have to take your time to think it through. How do we want to address the problem that has been flagged? Look at it in terms of priority as well. There are often times competing priorities. Making sure that you are targeting the things that can have the biggest impact for the player first and foremost, and then finding the right time to release those things."
  • There are four teams working on Diablo 4. Two teams for Seasons, one for the odd and one for the even-numbered Seasons. One team focusing on the live game. One team for expansions.
  • Blizzard is learning if the Battle Pass and the Shop work for a game like Diablo 4, they are gathering information as the game goes on.
  • When it comes to the mentality "You are Blizzard, you shouldn't make mistakes" Rod explains that it is a new development team, for some it's their first live service game, for some it's their first shipped game ever. There is experience but they will also need to learn as they go. "The industry is always changing. The games are always changing. The players are always changing. It is going to be learning as we go. What I love about a live service is, we can evolve over time, it's not a fixed state. [...] We can evolve and learn as we go."
  • Gaming used to be a hobby that was all about variety, playing lots of games. Nowadays, there are more players that are invested in playing a specific game for a long time.
  • In regards to player feedback Rod says: Sometimes theres no filter, or graciousness or politeness, its hard to navigate. When you have the sense that Diablo is my game, you have a sense of ownership, you get very invested [] were trying to manage expectations better, have more proactive comms so there are fewer surprises. We want to tell people whats coming at least a week in advance, make sure they arent table-flipping."
  • They are looking into improving the trading system, Blizzard is aware that players are currently resorting to third-party tools to trade.
  • When asked about additional character slots and stash tabs, Blizzard hinted at the livestream happening in early October that will reveal additional information about Season 2. They mentioned gems being converted into a crafting material to save space as an example.

Basically, they have no fucking clue what they're doing and the game is not only missing key features, but has to fix their poor design choices.

Was it the nerfs to certain classes?
The game underperforms on almost every level. Shit itemization, terrible QoL decisions, soulless story, no endgame, bad talent system/skills, and poor balance. You rush through the story mode hoping the endgame is interesting, but nothing's there. Anyone who tries the game will run into any one of the litany of issues and say, "What were they thinking?"

The game was just clearly undercooked and cashed in. Blizzard's scrambling so hard to scoop up what they can of the mess they've released, but even those attempts are laughably disappointing. The final season of D3, which just released, had more content than S1 of D4.

A person doesn't need to be a fucking serial killer.

But the stakes of hero fiction tends to put these people in life/death situations where killing in defense of self or others would be 1000% justified.

Hence, Kenshin is the only hero I've read where the no-kill rule isn't bullshit. Guy has plenty of experience with killing and deliberately chose a different life. And because of his personal reasons, the times where his rule is tested has genuine emotional weight to it because the audience knows that Kenshin won't be a bad person if he kills a villain, but he'll never be able to escape the Manslayer identity ever again and will be immensely unhappy. >_>
I agree with Kenshin, but look at really how much Goku grew between killing an entire army and Letting Frieza live.
He had a kid and grandkids.
He became the strongest person on Earth, by far, and knows it.
He no longer needs to use max power to solve small issues.
He's made friends with enemies.
He's spent a huge amount of time just meditating, between Kami, King Kai, and other training he's done.

Even at the start of DBZ, Goku is not the brash little kid he used to be. He's also no longer just a Son Wukong ripoff, but entirely his own thing.

Rise of Skywalker was a mess because it was bad. The map dagger is idiotic, "Somehow, Palpatine returned" is painful, Luke's story is terribly executed. Those aren't the fault of TLJ. If Abrams really wanted Snoke, he could have resurrected Snoke instead of Palpatine.

None of the TLJ plot points I mentioned previously were harmful, even if they were spiteful. It was Abrams' insistence to make Rey special, to replay the OT AGAIN. No amount of closed plotlines forces you to write Rise of Skywalker. Repeating the same empty talking points doesn't fix bad writing.

The way they handled Leia was super awkward and the space battle had some really mixed messaging.

"Miltank kicked my ass (because I leveled evenly instead of overleveling), it's so fun!"
"You get to choose which way to go!"
"But Houndoom is so cool!"

D/P gets shit on because there's only 1 Fire-type available, but Gen 2 gets a pass on everything because of pure nostalgia.
Hell, Gen 1 has nearly the same Fire-type issues (with just 1 being available until the Pokemon Mansion), has no Ghost moves, 1 Ghost line, 1 Dragon line... But it does manage to have great non-linearity without the level disparity problem. Erika, Koga, Sabrina, and Blaine can be taken on in almost any order so long as Koga comes before Blaine.
Gen 2 just needs to jack up the numbers on levels. Then look at Kanto and just fix that whole mess.

But, it's GameFreak. It'd be so easy to just fix a few numbers and make the game so much better, but they'd never put in the effort.

SotN also had a leveling system, random item drops, story "cutscenes," and more variety in weapons. It's really more Super Metroid + RPG, but we just call the grindy-loop games MetroidVanias. Besides, SotN and the DS games really popularized the genre moreso than Metroid, contrast to Metroid Prime.

Briefly, Bill Ballenger, a well-known Republican political analyst, former state lawmaker and Flint resident offered the other side of the story on his radio show, suggesting that the crisis is an overreaction or even a hoax because his own blood levels dont test high for lead. Subsequently, Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said, Lets wait and see what the facts show, according to the Detroit Free Press.

You'll never know when you have ALL the facts. Just look at the scientific method,
  1. Form a hypothesis
  2. Test the hypothesis
  3. Reform hypothesis based on new data.
  4. Repeat
It's pretty simple: form an opinion based on current knowledge, change opinion when new facts come to light. It's ok to form conclusions, it's not ok to constantly reinforce those conclusions by ignoring evidence to the contrary. This is where many people fail. Sometimes this method will embarrass some people, I'm sure some GameFAQs mods were embarrassed about the Jussie Smollett situation. But, 'if you wait for all the facts to come out, you'll be waiting forever.'

What a bunch of cherry picking bologna
Every single time a cop kills a guy (often Black) because of excessive force, even when it's filmed from multiple angles, you get the same group of totally-not-racist posters crawling out of the woodwork just begging people to "wait for all the facts." Then even when that cop gets convicted in court, those same posters will either be suspiciously silent or still side with the police.

I'm not going to dig through the archives to make my point. But I will say, "let's wait for all the facts"-guys are always picking a side and that side is usually wrong more often than it's not. If you wanted to temper immediate anger, you'd be saying, "This looks really bad, we should investigate this," you wouldn't be saying, "No hold on, let's wait for all the facts (and do nothing)." One statement is cautiously supportive of the victim, the other statement is tacitly supporting those in power.

To use a current ongoing example, the LTT situation. Linus looks pretty bad, I'm pretty sure he's cooked with the Billet Labs situation, seems pretty set. But then he gets accused by Madison, a former employee of allowing a workplace full of sexual harassment and assault. More and more third-party evidence keeps coming out to support her claims, but she still could be lying. Do we "wait for all the facts," on the off-chance we might be wrong, or do we demand Linus clean up his company and enforce the anti-discrimination policies his company (and Canadian law) claims to uphold?

"Derek Chauvin broke department policy, broke the law, and committed obviously inhuman acts of violence against George Floyd."
"I saw the video, but we have to wait for all the facts before we even start an investigation."

Sometimes you're wrong. Sometimes the obvious response is incorrect. "Why didn't Hawaii just use their robust emergency sirens to warn people about the fire?" Well, turns out there's a good reason:
https://www.reddit.com/r/therewasanattempt/comments/15vfw26/to_accuse_an_emergency_service_worker_for/

"Let's wait for all the facts" is consistently used to defend racism and fascism. Take a fucking stance. It's ok to be flexible and change your stance as news comes out. It's ok to be tempered and refrain from throwing death threats because some Karen looked racist on the internet. It's not ok to stand by and make this performative inaction on the slim chance all the experts are wrong.

Y'all should do yourselves a favour and absolutely take a few breaths and wait for all the facts to come out. The amount of time people on this board have been outright embarrassed by horrendous overreactions to incorrect evidence is just silly.
Sometimes it's wrong, but I still believe it's best policy to take most stories at face value. Trust, but verify. Look to experts on the subject.

"Wait for all the facts," always benefits one party over another. It's fine to say, "If this person did this, that's really bad and they should get fired/thrown in jail." Doing something and taking a stance creates better outcomes than doing nothing and just waiting forever while nothing gets done. Sometimes you make a mistake a look bad, but the other side is making a mistake while masking it with the veneer of faux-patience.

Their flagship is the roast beef sandwich and it's always been an overpriced empty burger. But their gyros are great, they occasionally have good options like the wagyu burger, and they have the best fast food mozzarella sticks.

No The Awakening? Kinda a shit list. Missing a lot of modern feminist theory and classic feminist lit.

I dunno. Waiting an extra <30 minutes to board a plane or paying extra to board early isn't that big a deal. Like you've shown, people prefer an orderly system where they're free to utilize their wait time as they wish to one where they have to stand in line to progress. It's better to sit in the terminal and look at your phone until your group has been called than shove you way through people to get seated quicker.
But, yeah, personally I'd rather just board free-style and get on the plane faster. Even if the airlines weren't preventing it, you'd still have a plurality of passengers saying, "Why can't everyone board back-to-front, so we can all get on faster," even though that's actually much slower.

On the otherhand, Disney's fastpass is a great example of failed capitalism: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yjZpBq1XBE
That video really digs into the math and benefits of various theme park fast pass systems and how paid fast passes have large negative impacts on the average park goer.

So the basic principles is humans hate lines and would rather be given some sort of busy work instead?
There's another study where people are asked, "Would you pay money to avoid an unpleasant shock of electricity?" Then they're left alone in an empty room with nothing to do but think or, if they wish, receive an electric shock. Many participants (67% of men and 25% of women) chose to shock themselves rather than do nothing. The conclusion was that many people would rather experience something mildly negative rather than have nothing to do.
