is that so many pick such absolute GARBAGE names for their children. And the worst thing about it is that they think they're being creative.

If a child's name is "Aiden" or anything that rhymes with it (even if nobody else in the world has the name), their parents are unoriginal and devoid of creativity. No matter how stupid the spelling. Changing the spelling to something unique actually makes it more cliche because that's the trend.

I never even heard of Aiden until Diablo 3 came out. And for a while I wondered if people were naming kids that from Diablo

Millennials do some of that, but I think older zoomers are worse about naming kids after characters (in a bad way).

My cousin worked in both male leads from twilight into the middle names, yes NAMES, of her youngest son.

Millennials are people born from 1981 - 1996, just as Gen X was people born from '65 - '80. So, some people in their early 40s or late 20s, and everyone in their 30s. Generally, people that remember 9/11 but weren't old enough to drink.

The '82 brother is arguably the worst, unless I am.

Leia? I never even know any Leais anywhere online or irl. I felt like that was just too on the nose and obvious. At least Luke is a more common name and won't immediately trigger memories from a media.

My three sons, Aiden, Braiden, and Caiden

Luke and Leah are both very old biblical names.

Even if I think of Leah as an alternate spelling, that is still just a name, I never thought caught on.

It's all Zoomer crap. Millennials are still half way grounded, since a lot of us actually grew up before the internet was a thing, so have some perspective. Zoomers pretty much have been plugged in since infants, so undoubtedly have had thier brain lobotomized by social media. Not that it matters, no one cares about the Millennials anymore. We're pretty much the forgotten generation now a days. People only care about the Zoomers now and just punch down on the Millennials when they are feeling bad, but, hey, we can take it.

I just think it is stupid how boomer is a term used ironically and unionically that it really has no meaning anymore. Esentially what I get now is that if you were alive and on the internet in the 90s or pre social media as we know it you are a boomer.

I'm right on the border of X and Millenial. 1981. I don't know if I fully fit either. In some aspects I'm more Gen X. But in others I feel Millenial. But neither fully do I feel identified with

Weird that you get mad over people picking common names for their kids. Aiden isn't even top 10 btw.

And for what it's worth, as a Millenial, if I ever had a daughter I'd name her Lorelai--I fell in love with the name years back as it was unique and not too ostentatious. If I had a son I'd be mire basic and name him Ryan.

But wife and I are childfree, so this is kinda moot.

Honestly though do parents think about the rest of their kids lives by giving them weird names or weird spellings? Like musks kid. I still don't know how to pronounce his name but I bet he's gonna get teased about it endlessly.
