Documented, steam has Idle Champions at over 9200 hours.
As for non-idler games, Maplestory is at 1400. Though, that's only in the past couple years. Prior to 2020, I used the nexon launcher, which didn't track the hours played. So realistically, adding in 2006-2020's untracked hours, I'm guessing that easily surpasses Idle Champions's 9k+

My splurging was very tame this year. Had to reallocate most of my budget for something else that I'm still on standby for, but I did manage to pick up a couple of things for myself.

Vampire Survivor's Forscari DLC
Pronty - An underwater metroidvania
XCom 2 Complete - Was between this and the original's EW DLC, which were the same price, but figured this would give me more (missed) bang for the buck
Pan'orama - Chill hex-placing game. Similar to Dorfromantik, but upgrades adjacent tiles.

That seems like a nice mod. Love Spyro games. The first one was what first brought me to GameFAQs way back in the day actually.

I think it was Spyro 2 that brought me here back in '00. Whichever Spyro had a windmill level.

So, what are you all playing today?

Sundays are my Fall Guys days with my niece, so I'll be starting that up shortly. Afterward though, I'll probably be continuing Wild West. I started it up last night and have been enjoying it so far (slightly difficult). Haven't gotten to any of the "weird" stuff shown in the trailers yet, so I'm looking forward to that.

Thanks so much! I was just looking at this game the other day. I saw some footage that gave me Dishonored vibes, and when I looked further, realized one of the developers was an original creator of Dishonored!

Playing my game I noticed the devs went a little extra with the PS4 version. When you switch between the characters the light on the controller switches to the color for the character. Not a big thing, but one of those things that make you say "they didn't have to do that". I thought it was kinda neat. Haven't played any other game that does that

There are a number of games that take advantage of the light. Like in Fall Guys, where it changes depending on the color of your team, or in GTA 5 where certain activities causes it to flash colors

Alrighty, my little screenshot contest from last night has concluded, and it ultimately came down to 3 images in the end; the android dissection, the anime warrior, and the dommy mommy. And while it was very close, I had to give it to the game that went above and beyond to portray their 2d sprite in a completely different art style - @Tyranthraxus's 9 years of Shadow.

Any old wasp spray will bring em down quick.

I've used Hot Shot in the past. It's got a good spray, so you can do it from a 10+ feet away. Plenty of space in case it doesn't quite kill them fast enough, and you need a head start before bolting away.

I'm currently halfway thru 6, and IMO the order is 0>4>6>2>5>1>3. Haven't play Like a Dragon yet, but I will once I finish 6.

Like a Dragon is amazing. Granted, I haven't played any of the other Yakuza games, so I don't have a comparison point, but it's definitely one of my favorite games played this year.

Oh, definitely. I feel like I've seen that gag from an old Mickey Mouse (maybe Popeye?) episode. The racial aspect just made it land in an entirely different direction.

I mean, to each their own, but that one in particular stuck out to me as a bit racially insensitive. There are other things that the character does that people might find more mean-spirited though, such as killing off a pod of baby dolphins to create Tuna for a cat.

It's why I recommend Anna's Quest, because while it is from the same dev team, her character actually wants to be helpful and do good.
