Those have been fixed since when they remade FF1 for PS1. Its no different with the Pixel Remasters, the spells all work properly. Also, character stats all properly work this time around. As a result, the thief went from being a nearly complete liability to a functioning member of the party. --- Live action Hungry Hungry Hippos though, now that was a sport. ~Aeon Azuran |

The_Popo 04/28/23 1:08:33 AM #15 | ^Yeah, I agree with that. In most RPGs, including FF1, Im fighting in most battles. It can be just as fast to fight the battle than it is the attempt to run. Might as well just get the experience, particularly with modern FF1s auto battle feature. So long as you arent in danger, just fight. --- Live action Hungry Hungry Hippos though, now that was a sport. ~Aeon Azuran |

The_Popo 04/28/23 12:35:31 AM #13 | Kamil posted... Maybe they think people still like to take their chances at running away from battles rather than fighting them for some reason. I mean Paladin's Quest/Lennus felt hard at times, but when I realized if I didn't take too many risks and just fought battles instead of trying to run to save time or get in desperate situations, I'd be fine in the long run. There are some fights where it absolutely makes the most sense to run instead of fight, particularly early on. The Marsh Cave presents plenty of those moments. Or on the earlier part of the game, stumbling across 6 grey wolves and 2 wolves simply isnt worth the damage youll take compared to the gil/exp youll receive. And depending on how readily available sorts (gold needles) or antidotes are, it can make a lot more sense to run from enemies that can poison you or turn you into stone. --- Live action Hungry Hungry Hippos though, now that was a sport. ~Aeon Azuran |

Topic | anyone have Renter's Insurance |
The_Popo 04/27/23 8:52:41 AM #7 | Just a heads up with renters insurance, you basically say I have $30,000 of possessions, and you get quoted a premium for that amount of insurance. Im sure you already knew that part. However if you have a collection of a specific group of possessions, you need to pay extra to have it actually covered. Ive never understood the rationale for this, but you should bring it up so you dont get screwed in the event that something happens to your games. For example, if someone had a baseball card collection worth $5,000, theyd need to report that specifically on their insurance, and the premium would hit a boost for it. Same would likely apply with a video game collection that is worth $15,000. --- Live action Hungry Hungry Hippos though, now that was a sport. ~Aeon Azuran |
