The thing with Iron-Man 3 is that the Mandarin twist isn't even bad in theory, and it's actually kind of unique and forward thinking for an MCU movie.

You have this decoy villain who's the leader of a terrorist organization...only for the real villain to be revealed as a corporate exec who's pulling the strings behind the scenes for the sake of war profiteering. That feels very Robocop-ish to me.

The problem is that a) the decoy villain was actually more interesting and entertaining than the villain we actually got and b) Aldrich Killian, in execution, is basically NO different from Obadiah Stane and Justin Hammer, except he's not anywhere close to being as fun to watch

People really underestimate how likely it is for the average American to snap, especially in a late stage capitalist society

The original series isn't even close to being the best tbh.

DC has a way better universe than Marvel, in my opinion. The Justice League is infinitely more interesting to me than the Avengers (in their most recognized line-ups, anyway)

Tbf, that's only because The Avengers are mostly made up of characters that aren't from Marvel's Big 2 franchises (Spider-Man and X-Men), whereas the Justice League is composed of all of DC's most popular characters.

and the villains in DC are VASTLY superior to the MCU. The only truly great villains in Marvel are like...Magneto, Doom, and Thanos. And Galactus, if he's even really considered a villain.

I agree with this, to some extent. I wouldn't say they're bad, but they're completely overhyped by people who are desperate to be seen as "hardcore gamers" for having played through them.
