It doesn't really hit the dopamine as getting a new issue in the mail did. It was like getting a package once a month. Although it's definitely more convenient than magazines and I don't want to go back to that, it just doesn't hit the same.

October is an amazing month for game launches and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games.

I watched three seasons and could never figure out if I liked it or not. The pacing of the show sort if ruins it.

If there is one thing that can give the show hope, it's the fact that the OP's creator is an executive producer for the show. Not really enough to overcome the doubt that comes from Netflix's poor history and reputation with live action anime/manga adaptations, but it's a small beacon of hope for the show.

How well it does in Japan as well. There's been several anime adaptations, but many of them have had midling popularity there (Cowboy Bebop is mostly forgotten and more highly regarded in the US, for example).

But One Piece is an absolute monster.

I thought they did play the intros. I remember Just Communication and Rhythm Emotion (especially with the beeps in the intro that made it better) being played. Could be my faulty memory though.

They did replace the original Gundam's opening and credits. They were pretty cool though especially the credits with that sweet drum n bass remix.

They did, but it was rare. I think it may have been for the midnight uncut version. And the only time DBZ ever had Rock the Dragon at the beginning was for the three movies that were split up into episodes.

The only thing I didn't like about them was how their own promos replaced all of the opening themes. Gundam Wing (Rhythm Emotion) was such a sick intro, and they hardly ever played it.

I've thought about it, but I can't rely on myself to work out in my home. I need to be in an actual fitness center to feel motivated.

Also, I can't find it, but the promos teasing Frieza's return was a such a good bait and switch. I remember watching the flash images of them hyping up his cyber form, and thinking "so many kids are going to have their minds blown when Trunks shows up".

Yeah, when the first season dropped, most people who watched Adult Swim viewed the show as their breakthrough in terms of satire. It was lauded as their Chappelle's Show.

I'm on the fence on which game I like more, but the Sage abilities are the one thing I feel is objectively bad.

It's not just the skills themselves, but having to activate them by examining an NPC is just awful. And having four NPCs around you just gets in the way.

I'd have to agree. I like and even love a lot of the improvements TotK has made, but it hasn't grabbed me like BotW did; BotW was literally a 'let the dishes pile up in the sink for a month' experience.

Plus exploration is a key selling point of both games, and the aesthetics of a vast, beautiful world are a big part of exploration; TotK kinda fucks this up with random floating shit perpetually hanging in the skyline and giant oozing holes everywhere.

Yeah, that's how I felt. There's a bunch of new content that just sort of...messes up everything I liked about BotW's world. There's a ton of fun new things to do in it, but this content for a world I'm already familiar with.

Most of the reviews were from season 1, which was just a 59% (season 4 is what dropped it even lower).

And the critic's consensus from the first season is most of the reviewers at the time were just really uncomfortable with the satire.

The fact that they were able to get pretty much the entire cast is insane.

It's bigger and has a ton more to do, but it still just feels like an expansion or second quest for BotW. It's still great and worth playing, but a lot of the awe and innovation of exploration from BotW doesn't feel as fresh.

To me they're not. I got OoT at launch, and even with nostalgia, BotW is still one of my favorite games ever.

I think it's going to be either Starfield or BG3. TotK also has the handicap of being released earlier in the year, which can affect awards show performances across all mediums. Recency bias is pretty big.
