TopicSen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) refuses to agree that White Nationalists are RACIST
wackyteen

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/07/11/tuberville-military-racists-white-nationalist/

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) said that the definition of a white nationalist is a matter of opinion during a television interview Monday night in which he was given the opportunity to clarify remarks from this spring when he appeared to be advocating for white nationalists to serve in the U.S. military.
During the CNN interview, Tuberville repeatedly said he rejects racism but pushed back against host Kaitlan Collins when she told him that by definition white nationalists are racist because they believe their race is superior to others. Tuberville at one point in the back-and-forth characterized white nationalists as people who hold a few probably different beliefs.
Tubervilles remarks drew a sharp rebuke Tuesday from Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), who urged Tuberville to apologize.
The senator from Alabama is wrong, wrong, wrong, Schumer said on the Senate floor. The definition of white nationalism is not a matter of opinion. White nationalism, the ideology that one race is inherently superior to others, that people of color should be segregated, subjected to second-class citizenship, is racist down to its rotten core. For the senator from Alabama to obscure the racist nature of white nationalism is indeed very, very dangerous.
Tubervilles CNN interview resurrected another controversy for the first-term senator, who has been in the news mostly for stalling scores of senior military nominations in an attempt to stop a Defense Department policy that helps ensure access to abortions for service members and their families.
In a brief interaction with reporters on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Tuberville said little to clarify his views.
Listen, Im totally against racism," he said. "And if the Democrats want to say white nationalists are racist, Im totally against that too. ... My definition is, racism bad.
In a May interview with a local public radio station in Alabama, Tuberville, a former football coach, criticized Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin for his efforts to get out the white extremists, the white nationalists from the military. Tuberville said it was part of an effort to politicize the armed services and accused Pentagon leaders of ruining our military and driving away supporters of former president Donald Trump.
Tuberville subsequently told reporters that he looks at a white nationalist as a Trump Republican, adding: Thats what were called all the time.
On Monday night, Collins pressed Tuberville on whether white nationalists should be allowed to serve in the military, offering a definition of a white nationalist as someone who believes that the white race is superior to other races.
Well thats some peoples opinion, Tuberville said.
Asked for his opinion, Tuberville said: My opinion of a white nationalist, if someone wants to call them white nationalist, to me, is an American. Its an American. Now if that white nationalist is a racist, Im totally against anything that they want to do because I am 110 percent against racism.
Tuberville then accused Democrats of using the term to push identity politics, which he said is ruining this country.
Collins continued to press Tuberville on whether white nationalists should be able to serve in the military, saying they are people who believe horrific things.
Well thats just a name that has been given, Tuberville said of white nationalism.
Collins told him, its a real definition.
If youre going to do away with most White people in this country out the military, weve got huge problems, Tuberville responded.
Its not people who are White. Its white nationalists, Collins said.
That have a few probably different beliefs, they have different beliefs, Tuberville said. Now if racism is one of those beliefs, Im totally against it. Im totally against racism.
Earlier in the interview, Tuberville cited his coaching experience at Auburn University and elsewhere.
I was a football coach for 40 years and had the opportunity to be around more minorities than anybody up on this Hill, Tuberville said.
A white nationalist is racist, senator, Collins said.
Well thats your opinion, thats your opinion, Tuberville said.
He added: Im totally against any type of racism.
According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, [w]hite nationalist groups espouse white supremacist or white separatist ideologies, often focusing on the alleged inferiority of nonwhite persons.
Their primary goal is to create a white ethnostate, the group says on its website. Groups listed in a variety of other categories, including Ku Klux Klan, neo-Confederate, neo-Nazi, racist skinhead and Christian Identity, could also be fairly described as white nationalist.
Military leaders have long worried about extremist views in their ranks.
A study by the Center for Strategic International Studies found that 6.4 percent of all domestic terror incidents in 2020 involved active-duty or reserve personnel, more than quadrupling the tally from the previous year. Hate groups actively target troops to become recruits while encouraging their own extremists to join the military ranks.
The presence of many military veterans at the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol further alarmed senior Pentagon officials and prompted Austin to create a counter-extremism working group in April 2021.

This is the same piece of bull fuck shit stonewalling essential high ranking military promotions and transitions of power.

He is an unmitigated threat to the United States of America and rhetoric like this only clarifies it.

If North Korea attacks US spy planes and US retaliates militarily, would China intervene?

https://news.yahoo.com/north-korea-threatens-shoot-down-010118388.html

North Korea accused US spy planes of violating its air space and threatened to shoot them down, ramping up tensions just before NATO leaders meet this week in Lithuania for their annual summit.
A spokesman for North Koreas Defense Ministry said the US was engaging in the most undisguised nuclear blackmail by planning to bring a nuclear-armed submarine to the peninsula and conducting hostile espionage activities by flying spy planes off its east and west coasts, the Korean Central News Agency reported Monday.
North Korea claimed that drones and spy planes flew for eight straight days along its coasts, with aircraft violating its airspace. There is no guarantee that such shocking accident as downing of the US Air Force strategic reconnaissance plane will not happen, it quoted the spokesman as saying.
That appeared to be a reference to North Koreas 1969 downing of a US Navy reconnaissance plane the Americans said was in international airspace between the Korean Peninsula and Japan, killing all 31 people aboard.
The Defense Ministry spokesman added that Pyongyang will take actions to prevent Washingtons reckless acts.
NATO Meeting
Kim Jong Uns regime has at times fired off ballistic missiles in a show of anger shortly after making threats. Last month, it launched two short-range nuclear-capable rockets just minutes after KCNA issued a dispatch from a Defense Ministry spokesman denouncing joint US-South Korean military exercises and threatening retaliation.
The latest threats stoke concerns just as South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol attends the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Summit. Yoon said in an interview with the Associated Press that he will seek help from NATO leaders on how to deter Pyongyang from increasing its atomic ambition.
South Korea is not a NATO member but Yoon and other leaders will be attending as the bloc and its partners focus attention on support of Ukraine.
South Koreas military dismissed the latest accusations, saying North Koreas claim that the aerial reconnaissance aircraft violated its airspace are not true. The US has flown aerial reconnaissance flights near North Korea for decades and has a network of spy satellites watching its major facilities.
Yoon and President Joe Biden at a summit in April in Washington agreed to deploy more US nuclear assets to the region. The American president warned Kim that if he conducted a nuclear strike, it would mean the end of his regime.
Six Takeaways from White House Visit by South Koreas Yoon
The US in June sent a nuclear-powered, guided-missile submarine to South Korea for the first time in six years in a show of force meant to deter North Korea from military strikes. It plans to send another one soon, Yonhap News Agency reported.
North Korea has fired off more than 90 ballistic missiles over the past 18 months as Kim rolls out new weapons to deliver a nuclear attack on the US mainland and Americas key allies in the region, South Korea and Japan.

Silly Kim that's just the planes the US wants you to know about /s

TopicPro-Life Peruvian Pastor accused of raping his own daughter, as young as 13

https://english.elpais.com/international/2023-07-08/i-want-that-monster-to-be-caught-evangelical-pastor-is-accused-of-rape-by-his-own-daughter.html

Since 1989 when he founded the Pro-Family and Pro-Life Movement, at the young age of 22 Jos Linares Cern has claimed to lead an exemplary life. This evangelical pastor a self-proclaimed defender of children used to look forward to Peruvian Family Day, which is celebrated every second Sunday in September, to give advice on how to guide children with love and wisdom. The child begins to understand who they are through the relationship with their parents, he said.
Recently, one of his daughters now 33-years-old denounced what she had kept silent for years: that Linares Cern systematically raped her and, as a result of that abuse, she gave birth at the age of 13, back in 2003.
I want that monster to be caught, she told the media, without revealing her face and full name. Her hell began at the age of seven, when she went to live with her father in an 11,000-square-foot old house in the Lima district of Surquillo, where Linares Cern lived with his seven brothers. Aside from her, the only other female in the residence was her grandmother. Her father who accumulated political power over time forced her to sleep with him until she was 12-years-old. And it was precisely at that age when she had already dropped out of school because no one took care of her that her father got her pregnant. I didnt know what was forming inside me, because they never took me to a prenatal checkup, she explains.
Her uncles also inflicted sexual violence on her. She has accused her fathers brother, Pablo Linares Cern, of improper touching, while accusing Robert Linares Cern 11 years younger than her father of having raped her for many years, at any time, day or night. In fact, when it was confirmed that she was pregnant, Jos Linares Cern told her that the child was not his, but Roberts, revealing that he knew about the collective abuse.
When I held my son in my arms, my father manipulated me, forcing me to tell the police that my son belonged to a person who had left me. When I left the hospital, he took me to where he lived with my stepmother, who was his secretary. He made me sleep with my son on the floor, she recalls.
In October of 2006, the ordeal continued: she gave birth to her second child, at the age of 16. In this case, she points out that the father was Robert. Both sons, she says, are now in the custody of Linares Cern. I never had a normal life. I didnt go out, I didnt study, I didnt have childrens parties everything was inside the house and the only social life I could have was with my father.
Once, while defending her stepmother, Linares Cern pushed her father down he nearly suffocated her as a result. I plucked up my courage and yelled at him with all my might that he had touched me, that he had raped me as a child. My father went crazy and grabbed me by the neck, pinning me against the wall. I managed to escape, asking for help from my uncle Pablo, who lived in another room. He also touched me when I was little. This is what it means to live surrounded by horror.
Through his Pro-Family Pro-Life Movement, Jos Linares Cern has long been interfering in Peruvian politics and inserting himself into the national debate. In 2013, he campaigned in favor of the unsuccessful recall election against Mayor Susana Villarn. In 2016, he founded the collective Con Mis Hijos No Te Metas (Dont mess with my children), which emerged to stop comprehensive sexual education in schools, arguing that it was a gender ideology. He has also supported the three successive failed presidential candidacies of Keiko Fujimori, especially in 2021. After she was defeated, he joined the narrative alleging electoral fraud charges that could never be verified. He has also organized marches by radical Evangelical groups.
On his website where he appears carrying a girl he defines himself as a social fighter who gives conferences around the world about honesty, principles and values. But the truth is that on both his social media and in his conferences he doesnt spread much love. The UN wants to open up a path to legalize pedophilia with the gender agenda, gay dictatorship is unacceptable, or the pro-abortion agenda seeks to make our youth rot are some of his so-called messages of peace. On the international level, he supported Mitt Romneys failed presidential campaign for the Republican Party in 2012, against Barack Obama.
His background doesnt seem to be that of a blessed man who has followed the way of the Lord. As far back as 1991, he was accused by a member of his church of having abused and impregnated his sister, a minor. He has also been denounced for the alleged crimes of coercion, violation of privacy and acts against modesty. All cases have gone unpunished by Perus legal system.
Today, Pastor Jos Linares Cern is missing. His social media is silent. Meanwhile, his daughter pleads for justice.

Systemic, horrific abuse not just from her father, but many male family figures in her life...

Hell would be too good for these kinds of people
