Hm yeah so Jubilee doesn't count as "played" until her pulled card comes out and does all its on reveal stuff. So I could see Ock not counting as played until after all his pulled cards activate. But it seems like it's more complicated than that.

It's probably more like some special logic that says "pulled cards ignore the card that did the pulling"

Here is another foiled Galactus where basically everything went wrong for me. (Note: There was a Negasonic from Lehigh and Doom on left but they were destroyed)

I snapped on 1 when I saw Kamar Taj because I had Scorpion and Doom. I also played my Maw that turn. Both poor decisions since I know I need to wait at least 1 turn to play Maw just in case. And he played Yondu so I would know for sure it was Galactus.

Anyway, I hold my cards back but he plays Doc Ock on 4 which foils that, AND pulls the Negasonic so even though I can move my Jeff there's basically no way to win that lane. Oh and Rogue stole the damn Electro effect!

But then he plays Death on 5 instead of Galactus? Strange, but it means he didn't draw Galactus, so now he's going for an alternate win. I White Queen'd his Spidey so he didn't seem to have good options. Drawing Knull on turn 6 was his only chance. BUT since he didn't play Galactus the only destroyed cards were Yondu, which added to like 8.

My double Doom would beat that in both lanes so I stayed and won 4 cubes. I only got to that point because he did not snap. If he snapped before playing Death I would 100% retreat.

(Although he could've played a 6 and another 2 drop to get about 12 power and win right. But it was worth it since I only needed a 50% chance to make it worth it.)

i would snap on turn 3 this game, as soon as its revealed to be the sandbox with your colossus already in it (and mr fantastic in hand). the chance theyre running a deck that can get into that lane and win it without sacrificing the other two is very low

You say AI doesn't challenge that definition and title of a playwright, but right now the poll is almost 2:1 against this particular example as not okay for a playwright to do.

The public has no idea how art is made and would have the same answer if asked about a play written by a full production team. It's still not specific to AI.

It doesn't though. In your example you have unambiguously written parts of the play, so you would be a playwright. Writing has been a team activity for thousands of years and it's a solved question already. An editor has a massive effect on the writing but the play isn't "by" them, for example.

It just looks ignorant to pose questions that apply to editors, apprentices, ghost writers, focus groups, and other things that have been around forever, as if they are new. You gotta hone in on what is specifically new with AI.

And that comes down to the training set scraping millions of existing works and mashing them up without consent. And to some extent the ease and speed of prompting an output. Every other part of the process is old news.

I feel like Prof X and Spidey could've won you some locations in the first match. Debrii can lock down Space Throne for both too.

Example. I played 3 cards total. Maw on turn 3, and he played his Electro, so at that point I knew it was Galactus. (I should've known from his Yondu, but he played Lizard on 2 which I never saw before but it makes sense to juice Knull). I didn't play any cards after that until 6. He could've played Knull or Death and lost to my Shang. He ended up playing Chavez which is also pretty strange, but either way I win.

Only problem is if he had a Wolverine out and got it to 6, then I would've lost. He also could've played an 8 power or a couple smaller cards, which I've honestly NEVER seen.

I just lost 2 cubes to Galactus who played a 0 cost Death even though only 2 cards were destroyed, because I forgot Lamentis counts as destroys. Also they got their full combo from Lamentis.

You CAN see the # of destroyed cards in the match by clicking their avatar. If it's 8 then Death is free so she's def coming.

That one is pretty rough since there's no way to see how much power Knull will have, so you need to count it up yourself. But yeah those are THE 4 Galactus cards so you know they're coming. Playing vs Galactus is basically a completely different game so I'm curious about non-Galactus losses.

Large Knull + Death on 6 isn't good though. Usually you want to avoid playing strong cards when you know Galactus is coming. It looks like he got the full 8 destroys which means he could play Death and Knull instead of just 1, and the Knull was strong. The instant you recognize the Galactus you should stop feeding it like that.

And with Shang in hand the best move is usually to throw priority so you can Shang their cards on 6. Only problem is Wolverine is 4-8 power so you need to beat 10 power. Iron Man is a pretty cool way to do that since you won't gain priority, so Shang + a 1/2 drop can easily beat 10 power.

In this case, I'm assuming the Galactus came out with Wave, in which case you should've played Iron Man on 4 on the Galactus lane. Then you Mystique him. Then they literally have no way to stop your 12 power non-prioritized Shang on 6.

I am overly conservative on snapping back myself. But I do get a lot of 2 and 4 cube wins, many more than losses. My 8 cube games are probably only 40% winning which is a bit problem but it's fun to play it out so whatever.

What does it mean to "say I am the playwright"? Is it an ego/pride thing, or does it confer some sort of social status? Or a financial rights thing?

Basically you need to be more precise in the question. When using the AI, should you still feel proud of your artistic creation? Should you still be treated as a playwright in society? Should you still get all the money from licensing the story?

You should not be losing 8 cubes or even 4 cubes regularly. I'm curious what some of your 8 cube losses are tbh. Post one here next time it happens.

The key thing in this game is you need to be aware of what your opponent can do to win. If your line is "perfect" but loses to a Shang, then it's not just bad luck when they play a Shang. You need to play around him. Lose priority before turn 6, spread out your power instead of focusing a location, play Cosmo, etc

My rules of thumb are: Assume 2 lanes can get 9 power on 6, or 1 lane can get 12 power. Assume Doom always. Assume Shang or Enchantress if you have relevant targets out. Assume archetype-specific cards (Death for destroy, Heimdall for move, Mystique for Patriot, etc).

If you can't win with those assumptions don't snap. Obv there's times when the risk is worth it, but get the basic strategy first.

I could reasonably make about 15 mil in current dollars. With current inflation over 50 years, we'll get a 75x devaluation of currency. So yeah that just barely pushes me across the billion mark.

Beast instead of Thor could be good to give you a 0 cost Kitty, and a 2nd 0 cost Zero.

I know what at will is which is why I mentioned it in my post. But if you use an invalid termination reason in an at will state you can still get sued.

I've prob used 10% of my pool 3 cards. Problem is it's hard to find a new deck that is also more fun to play. The novelty doesn't go that far in this game, especially since lots of typical decks you research are combo-based ones that are anti-novelty. Like Cerebro 3 absolutely needs Scarlet Witch or Rhino to eliminate variance aka reduce fun.

I'd love a list of decks that have synergies but are mostly situational instead of being combo or draw dependent. Decks that punish situations like "there's 1 card that would beat me but no one runs that". Maybe I'll try a sneaky Heimdall for that.

Also Drax and Gamora were chastized hard for merely joking about killing 1 person, by people who went on to kill dozens. There was also that final battle scene where they had a whole speech about saving people, then immediately massacred 50 people. This kind of dissonance is in so many Disney action movies now. I'm really losing my tolerance for it.

I thought it was alright. Good action and story and ridiculously good graphics in some scenes (meh in others but that's normal). Dialogue was pretty clunky though imo. The animals had far better chemistry than the main cast. They killed it every scene and were basically a Disney movie, which is why they made us cry.

She's equivalent to Sandman when played on 5. We already have to counterplay Sandman who very hot in the meta, so it's not much different. No one was running She-Hulk/Death to counter turn 5 Wave anyway.

8 cost Death for destroy decks makes a lot of sense for sure. She's weak to Shang and is very likely to be White Queen'd.

It really was the Wave interaction that made her busted. Their explanation makes a lot of sense - literally 100% of cards that lower cost, and all future cards with the same effect, required Wave to work best. That's just bad design.

So you're ok with all the WW haters ignoring the dozens of overworld activities, over half of the playtime and story of the game, implying that it's only the dungeons that matter.
