Square Enix says that for Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, players will be able to transfer the monsters in their main party and reserves into the full game. The same holds true for the Star Ocean demo, which lets players start their adventure and experience the opening hours of the game. Finally, for Silent Hope, the entire first level of the Abyss is included.

I mostly remember Tomb Raider 1 and 2. I think Tomb Raider 2 was the first game I saw with AI fighting each other and my mind exploded.

That happened to me when I played the remaster of Turok 2. After all these years, I never knew the enemies could fight each other.

Even TR veterans didn't like on how hard that game. Even your friend gave it to you out of frustration.

Especially if it was the PS1 version which messed up the save system.

Yeah, once you got the controls down pat, it was a beautiful thing. All the fumbling rookie mistakes of the early levels -- like trying to catch ledges at angles or falling off cliffs because of missed jumps -- disappear.

Still my favorite jump system. The player is given so much control, and the depth to the system beautiful.

Dunno how you're able to do it, as the challenge of the games back then was fairly fake due to the controls and damn near exact tile-based platforming nature.

Learning how the controls and game works.

Croft Manor has tutorials where Lara goes in detail explaining how the game mechanics work. From there it is just practice until mastering the controls. Once it clicks, it becomes second nature and the jump system is complex and has a lot of depth and control not in seen in other games at the time. Never feels like it is the game's fault if I miss a jump rather mistiming on my part.

Although I suppose even if they gave it the same stellar treatment as the crash and spyro trilogy remaster, it still wouldn't make it any better when it's a fundamentally unenjoyable series of games that's not fun to play.

They aged fine. I still play them from time to time and would easily take them over the new ones.
