I'm not a first responder, but working in the OR for years and seeing the end result of many types of accidents, and now working in a cancer hospital, we absolutely use dark humor as a coping mechanism. Yeah, I'm even further down the line/disconnected as an attorney. I've got 5 cases on my docket where the plaintiff is "The Estate of . . ." and the accident scene and OR photos are... not pleasant. Gallows humor is the name of the game sometimes, if only as a coping mechanism. I try to be sober and respectful, but even as far removed as I am, it still takes its toll.

The judge I clerked for sent me a text after this and she was actually fuming at the inaction here. Basically said that if a defendant had so much as insinuated something about me under a gag order, she would've immediately jumped to contempt proceedings.

She is also a Republican, although is now considering registering as a Democrat given the bullshit over the last several years.

Honestly not a whole lot. Late game/end of DLC bosses might pose some trouble depending on your luck with weapon drops, but you shouldn't have too much of an issue.

You can impeach a witness if you can cast enough doubt on their credibility even if you can't prove perjury. Basically, your mom will not be allowed to testify in your defense that you were totally with her the whole night that one dude was killed. Having a historical record of pretty strong disdain for Trump could be used to make the argument that she would lie to incriminate him.

That's not a question of whether her testimony is admissible, though. That's just going to be a subject for cross examination and the ultimate credibility determination.

Edit: which, if not those previous statements, she almost certainly has a veritable closet of skeletons to impeach her testimony with.

The deal won't torch the case. The worst case scenario is Ellis won't be permitted to testify against Trump. Presumably Willis felt she already had enough evidence to win without confessions. I'm just annoyed slightly that she may have gotten a good deal in exchange for testimony that might not be admissible. Of course I'm still all talking hypotheticals. Trial hasn't even started yet.

What admissibility issues are you referring to?

It's not their fault but it is partially their responsibility cause they are there to help run the government. Like I said, I'm torn in getting the government back up and watching the republicans bury themselves more.

The game does generally settle back into the the same/similar pace as the areas preceding the water section, albeit with gradual escalation of oppressiveness in atmosphere and obstacles. I do believe the water section is unique, and any potential repetition of the mechanics would have amounted to a very brief callback.

I disagree with the characterization of the water area as janky, but to each their own.

That said, atmosphere-wise, the game peaked right at the final major area for me. There are a couple of loud-noise jumpscare moments that I didn't appreciate in it because it disrupted the oppressive atmosphere, but it's an area that has stuck with me since.

Edit: This also reminds me that I can't do my annual Silent Hill 2 Halloween playthrough since my PS2 broke. Sad day.
