I guess it just kind of makes me wonder now if all these different Mogs should've been allowed or if it should've just been one Mog from its earliest appearance since that's how summons are treated apparently.

For whatever reason, summons just don't get treated as separate characters per game. Then again, I don't know for sure that anyone's really tried to argue the point before. Probably because they usually do pretty poorly.

It's definitely inconsistent. We have all these Mogs in this contest from different games but the summons are just defined by their default first appearance? Like, when people nominated Bahamut were they even specifically thinking of that one from FF1? I know I wasn't. I was thinking of FFX Bahamut.

I mean I guess you can just imagine the summons to be from whatever game you want them to be from, but then you have a situation like this where Bahamut is last one standing and its like, did people even of think of that particular Bahamut when they nominated it? I guess you got to place them somewhere, but it's a bit of a rabbit hole if you think too much about it.

I mean, I get the different Cids since they actually have some difference to them arguably, but are the mogs any more unique in each game than the summons? Shouldn't we then start allowing summons to be nominated by game?

What's sad is the movie is genuinely not terrible. Warner just really fucked up by standing by Ezra Miller. The movie has no shot.

I agree with this. The movie was actually pretty decent, but I am very glad that it is not doing well in the box office because they stuck with Ezra.

Watched all five. All of them except mazy day were great. Good netflix.

Watched the first 3 episodes of the new season. all of them were amazing. Huge improvement. Gave me vintage high-quality Netflix originals vibes.

The first two episodes have a mock-Netflix streaming service called Streamberry. Usually when Netflix is talked about in its shows, its via a corny joke or some other hokey method, but those episodes were real mind fucks. Third episode was great because the twist seemed really obvious for most of the episode but then they surprise you with ending it in a different direction.

Way to bury the lead.

It would be interesting if there was some kind of max boot limit instated. Like the character can only have so many boots until they are officially retired and can never be nominated again. Would make things interesting for characters on the edge that "only have one boot left" before retirement.

Wow, so far I'm seeing several characters with lots of boots add another boot to the tally. Maybe it's for the best that wakka didn't get in.

Apart from Michael Keaton Batman, which gets plenty of screentime, the villain is a cameo performance. There are several other cameos but they get very limited screentime, no speaking roles, and are relegated to one brief (but really cool) portion of the movie.

Yeah, I think I was surprised by that the most. Just because I heard those rumors from a few different places and honestly think it might be some social media marketing ploy to try to get Ezra Miller haters to see the movie or something.

I mean, sure, some additional characters join the movie halfway through, but they feel more like supporting characters to Barry. He never fades into the background at all like I was told he would.

So I just saw the movie and I hate to say it but it was actually pretty good, especially by DC movie standards. Good comedy throughout. Decent storyline. I hate to say this even more but Ezra Miller did a pretty good job as the Flash. The guy can act and he pulled off the "dorky, awkward" persona pretty well. One thing that did bother me was he made a fourth-wallish type of joke about mental health that I felt was in poor taste. Other than that, it was a begrudgingly good performance.

If you're a fan of nostalgia fan service, you're in for a treat. I think it is well known by now from the trailer the return of Michael Keaton as Batman. There are some other cameos as well. You will get your nostalgia fix with this movie.

Now to dispel some rumors:

There are some rumors going around that "Barry (Ezra Miller) is only featured for about the first hour of the movie but then takes a back seat to other characters." This is not true. Barry is front and center the entire movie, and it revolves around him from start to finish. Other characters show up of course but I never once felt like he was in the background.

There are also rumors that the CGI is bad. I can confirm this rumor is true. The CGI is pretty bad at certain moments. It doesn't necessarily take anything away from the movie, but there was more than one occasion where I thought "wow, that CGI looks pretty bad."

So yeah, I laughed a lot. Was entertained from start to finish, despite the long runtime. I fully support anyone who chooses not to see it because of the whole Ezra Miller nonsense, but for those that do go see it, you're in for a treat.
