What did they do to Fire?

Roz'etta snuck past Fire to talk to Waller and came back to L-Ron stuffed in a trashcan. She didn't do anything to Fire because, well, she's Fire.

Roz'etta did free L-Ron once she was done talking to Waller, which he mourned because he now had to do work again, and gave her a huge runaround conversation to recommend a gay bar in Bialya, to his amusement.

L-Ron said Fire looked old. Roz'etta helped him recover from the aftermath of that, and she was made to regret it.

It's Pikachu!

Every sea mission comes with it a possibility of the Dweller showing up, and he has the sort of presence and mystery that commands attention. He's a blast in all his scenes.

This could be a Blue Devil.

I really enjoy the chemistry Roz'etta and Chimp have as characters. They're both non-human, and Roz'etta just listens and learns.

Of course, they're both very different personality-wise, so those little clashes are a fun read too. All in all, a good Chimp and alien.

Iolande provided me the chance to fill out some of Saturn's history and how Jemm is as a prince (which, unsurprisingly, is far less fleshed out than Mars is), something I always appreciate, and sometimes it's the little things like that that make a character great for me.

Iolande felt immense shame at being deposed, something Roz'etta can sympathize with due to Jemm being deposed long before she was born, but Iolande doesn't want sympathy. Roz'etta told Iolande not only of how Jemm was deposed in his younger years, but also how Jemm was deposed for making the right call, and how Iolande, who looks at Jemm as such a respectable, great leader in comparison to herself is only lacking in experience.

In the actual comics, the first line of each chapter of Jemm, Son of Saturn is a piece of wisdom he was given by his mentor, and I've always had these words mean a lot to Roz'etta. One of those sentences is as follows:

The wise ruler knows he is nothing without his people. Join with your subjects heart, soul, and mind. Only then may your majesty move mountains.

On Korugar, when Iolande was preparing to take back her throne, Roz'etta made absolutely sure that Iolande truly valued the people she was set to serve. This may have come off as a lecture, but for Roz'etta it was as much a test of the resolve Iolande had as a leader, what she sought to be.

The Princess passed with flying colors, and as such when she would later speak to Roz'etta about speaking with Jemm, it was easy to say yes, not only to open up Betrassan/Saturnian relations, but because in Roz'etta's eyes Iolande had shown the fortitude of the exact kind of leader she would want Saturn to call an ally.

As I've said, if you want to feel good, talk to Parch. He will be supportive, unless you're that Riev man.

But Riev is stuck on Oa away from Parch, so that means anyone will be supported. Especially if you're polite.

And hopefully Vandal entering in the campaign for good will mean more Scandal.

Kotal Khan is probably the modern character with the most (wasted) potential but yeah Cassie is the only one who got to be a star in any of the story stuff, plus she's attached to Johnny which helps her become the favorite.

He's Hamilton Drew! is just such a funny line.

MK11's story (I know, lol) made me like Liu Kang for the first time in the series so I hope he isn't a horrible failure in the next game.

As for Mordru, he figured out we were o the storyline by smelling the magic on Roz'etta. It was more than a little creepy.

I do love the Vickis and Paul Lincolns of the campaign, who let us read about the world with things that may or may not have any relevance to our characters. Roz'etta really loves that sort of thing because she's a massive nerd.

And you could argue Duncan was already the best player on the team when the Spurs won the first one, but Robinson was definitely still a key player.

Here is another way to look at #1 overall picks.

In the last 30 drafts, the only teams to have their #1 overall pick contribute to a title are the Duncan Spurs and the LeBron-Kyrie-Love Cavs.

The LeBron first run Cavs, Shaq Magic, Iverson Sixers, and Ayton Suns are the only other teams to even make the finals.

Turning great players into title opportunities, let alone titles, is really, really, really hard.

Robinson being there only accounts for one of those rings! Three of them were post-Robinson and one Robinson contributed in the sense that he was physically there for it.

One of those picks was Kevin Love, which worked out very well. One of those finals losses was injury luck and the other two...well, prime KD joining a 73-win team happened.

Oh, and how could I forget, Constantine's new aspiration to conquer Saturn with the power of sarcasm is a treat.

Really he treats Roz'etta with such a combination of respect and disrespect that it's so fun. I almost want to say they're friends.

She just has to make sure Tim Hunter gets his sorry butt to Oblivion.

Constantine coming up with the plan that got Roz'etta marked by The Spectre (and saved everyone in Badhnisia) is such a punch to the gut. He helped, he genuinely did, but in doing so he dragged a woman as far from magic as it comes into the Spectre's sights.

Yes, everyone would love to be good for 20 years like the Spurs, but that's really hard to do because it requires you to be good drafters and wise spenders in free agency.

This is the crux of it for me. As it was said, it's really hard to win a ring and more likely to fail than not each year. Wouldn't it make more sense to give yourself a good chance to win for a decade than it would to put all your eggs in a basket and be the best on paper for 2-3 years?

Their best player prior to the Durant trade was only signed through the end of next season, and the best way to ensure he stays is to win a title.
