I really strongly disagree. People have a strong distaste for Hillary Clinton, to the point that Bernie Sanders grabbed ~40 percent of primary voters. A more mainstream, established figure would have beaten Clinton like Obama and Trump did.

If you view it as legitimate work there should be no stigma about discussing it in hindsight.

"We should destigmatize sex work" is a very different claim than "sex work is, currently, destigmatized." In much the same way that "society should be less racist" doesn't require one to ignore the impacts race currently has in society.
