Doctors. A doctor should be a trusted individual in regards to diagnosis and prescription. People self-prescribe because they are encouraged to do so anytime they watch any pharmaceutical commercial and those are literally everywhere. You're told that you're either dying or ill at least twice per commercial break.

It's honestly unfathomable to me how it's allowed and how widespread it's become. It's incredibly damaging to the medical field and directly damages their ability to properly do their jobs. Why when medical trust was at an all-time low during the peak of the pandemic was this not addressed?

It's his victory pose in all 3 games.

When he wins a minigame in 1 he does either a backflip into his move, or hits you with the "Blood pressure check"

In 2 he straight up breakdances

and in 3 he does a sick twirl into striking a pose.

I'm okay with mechanical if he's just filling cartridges with his own webs for later usage because of the well-established Spiderman refractory period.

I'm enjoying it, but it feels a bit jarring coming from P4/P5.

Also, Yukari is the best "first girl option" from the 3/4/5 better than Ann because she's less one-note, slightly better than Yukiko, who was pretty good, and way better than Chie, who's English VA never stopped bothering me my entire playthrough.

Bount isn't even that bad tbh. Bleach has plenty of worse filler than that.

Hell, if Hueco Mundo didn't take over 3 years of real time to be written, you probably wouldn't see half the awful filler that exists.

America in the 70's and 80's. Japan in the 90's up to now. Korea in the 00's up to now. It feels like a lot of global cultural representation through the arts is accompanied by a stymying and repressive working culture, and that the contrast between the two is what helps it locally take off before becoming global phenomenon.

Which makes me truly wonder, If the Middle East was allowed to freely produce media and art without threat of death or dismemberment if it's later determined to be prohibited, what absolutely wild works would come out of there.

Also, Chinese LN's are absolutely insane. In both directions. Some truly reprehensible works out there that truly embody the government they're stuck under, and some that you read and realize that if it were to ever become popular the author would be "Dealt with" because of their troublesome views.

Honestly, I had a great idea for this.

Give us the easiest opening rival battle of all time. Portray the rival as a kid with absolutely no confidence in himself and his adventure is trying to fix that. Make it almost literally impossible to lose to him. Im talking, if you don't run out of PP on growl, there's literally no way to lose the fight.

But, if you do manage to throw the fight, you give the kid a little bit of confidence and unlock the route where he turns into a fucking menace.

Every encounter from that point on he has a stacked team and will absolutely be head and shoulders above every trainer and Gym leader you fight.

But if you beat him normally he's basically another competitively lobotomized Pokemon rival, like Hop.

Sorry, best I can do is society replacing it with a synthetic pharmaceutical that almost works as well as coffee, but with a litany of unnecessary short term side effects and major long term health complications.

But think of the profit. Think of the shareholders.

This has been a truly heartwrenching read as a lurker over the last several months. The strength of you and your wife to go through this and the strength to chronicle it and share your experience honestly can't be put into words by an outsider.

From an outside observer who knew nothing about either of you outside of what I had seen you personally post, you're both incredible individuals and the amount of people you have touched and changed their lives for the better seems unfathomable. Reading through all of it, it envokes sadness, melancholy, but also the desire to be a better person. I know you never really get to see how many people you've positively affected in your lifetime, but it's surely more than you think.
