All it does it let you headbutt blocks above you, but literally the only 2 times you can do that is to get some health in 1 single spot in Armored Armadillo's stage, and to get the Arm upgrade in Flame Mammoth's stage. So the entire point of the Head upgrade is just to get you the Arm upgrade >_>
What would you have it do instead? Maybe another 25% damage reduction, to stack with the body armor's?

This is a good description. The art style for the cutscenes is maybe not what you'd expect from a AAA studio, but in-game it's fine. Very SNES-era, and you've gotta know that's what you're getting going into it.

I got very far into Shadows of Adam, realized I made a couple of mistakes in getting limited (though not particularly important) items, and decided to restart...I just haven't yet.

If you're into that, 8-bit Adventures 2 is also really, really good.

Roseanne was really good for the time, especially if you disregard the last season. Some of the pop culture/issues of the time will feel a little off, but if this isn't your first time dipping into older shows (assuming you didn't watch when it was new) it probably won't be off-putting. Frasier was probably funnier when it was funny, but the laughs weren't quite so frequent.

Might try some lower-carb fruit: dill pickles, strawberries, blueberries. You'll get a bit of sweet, a bunch of water (and some salt if you go pickle), plus you can consume a visually-significant volume of food, and that helps too.

I haven't begun tracking my macros, but just doing high protein, low carb. When fine for a couple days, but halfway through my pork chop, my body basically said no more. A few minutes later, my stomach was growling, I only wanted carbs.
Any of you experience this? How long did it last? I may just calculate my macros for a carb diet in the meantime.
When I had a craving for something carby, I usually tried to think about what it really was I wanted. If it was crunch, I'd get some nuts or pork rinds. If it was sweet, I'd have a protein bar at/for my next meal, or some teriyaki jerky, or a piece of dark chocolate. Or if I just wanted to break diet, I'd think, "Yeah, but I can eat bacon" and then I'd eat bacon. I also found that when I did have cravings, it was because I wasn't eating enough, especially if I had been being light on veggies.

If you aren't specifically trying to do low carb, you probably don't need to track your macros, just calories.

Have you ever tried to do anything with wood directly from a live tree?

Its pretty hard to use for anything because its still wet. You cant even burn live limbs you pull from a tree until the fire dries it out.

Fallen trees are perfect.
No, I get that (I even kinda said it specifically). My interpretation here is that Willis is the fallen tree, and "taking wood" out of him is adding insult to injury, or kicking him when he's down. So putting aside the fact that it's probably a poor choice to metaphorically describe Willis as a fallen tree (he isn't fallen), taking wood from the fallen tree would be the sensible thing to do, rendering the euphemism confusing.

I like trees so I keep an eye out for phrasing that incorporates them.

why is it ok to make wood out of a fallen tree like this
I am not familiar with this expression. I love it, but I might need to workshop it a little (a fallen tree is the ideal one to take wood from). Perhaps "take wood out of a falling tree", though that implies Willis is falling. "Take wood out of an ailing tree" may be too on the nose, though both more apt and sensitive to the situation at hand.

Beans for breakfast has never been one of my traditions. Having said that, beans and rice is a complete protein AND very cheap, able to be prepared in bulk, etc. It doesn't sound appealing to me at all, but I wouldn't turn my nose up at it.

I tend to have eggs (hardboiled, fried, or scrambled) or another meat protein (usually bacon), some berries (blue, black, or straw), and maybe a carb of some kind.

Y'all missing out on those mushrooms though. Throw those in the scrambled eggs, finish with a little spring onion? NOM

Hannibal, and to a lesser degree, Hannibal Rising.

Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon (and maybe even Manhunter) were great adaptations, but Hannibal is so bad, and the thing is that the book might be the best of the series, but if you've only ever seen the movie, you'd never know that.

Hannibal Rising suffers from "Let's take three pages from each chapter" script writing.

I'll watch this when it hits streaming, but if it's more that guy and less Felix from "Friends from College" (very toned down), I don't know how much I'll take.
