Agreed with TC. Yoshi's Island was a masterpiece, but they went in a completely different direction with Yoshi's Story, and for better or for worse, it's Story that defined Yoshi's character going forward (I read it's because Japan sees Story as more of the defining game for Yoshi, as opposed to the West in which it's Island).

Woolly World was pretty good, though. The rest of the games... Yeah, mediocre at best.

Crafted World was pretty great, aside from the "I Spy"-esque side mission shit that took forever to get through for 100%. I mean, honestly I liked the concept, but holy fuck just let me get a list of all the hidden objects you want me to tag for that world at once instead of having to go back and forth for each one even if it's in the same fucking level I JUST found the last hidden objects in.

Heat Guts was great, that double damage flamethrower was grossly OP lol

Jak and Daxter 1 was an okay platformer (for a PS2 game anyway, LOT of terrible platformers in that era)

2 was awful with all the horrendously bad checkpoints and vehicles that explode after a single collision.

3 was tolerable, but the desert vehicles controlled like ass.

Family Guy world's plot would probably go like this.

The bad guys get drawn to Stewie as the villain for that world and he's immediately intrigued by the potential for world domination. But when the heartless show up Stewie freaks out about the scary monsters and starts blasting them to bits and joins Sora instead.

Been looking forward to this collection for a while.

Holy shit, she really WOULD be perfect for it lol... so long as they get someone else for the voice anyway.

DK64 is good as long as you're not hung up on getting full completion since some of the bonus games are horrid (fucking Beaver Bother).

But for all the shit people give it about being a collectathon, they always forget to mention you only need like maybe half of everything to beat the game. I will admit though the colored bananas needed to beat the last level can be rather painful since you need I think like 80% of them to get to the boss.

Wait till you finish that characters story to replay levels, most of them end up being unavailable for a while after the first time through anyway. As for the Chao I always just dropped off whatever I collected last level and fed it to my chosen one and left. Never really focused on them until after the story stuff was done.

Jesus... way too fucking young for something like that.

You must not have played Prime Remastered because it's just as much of an overhaul as those were.

For real, the first cutscene shows as much. New models, new particle effects, it's way more than a lazy up-rez like a lot of PS3>PS4 ones were.

SO5 was... okay, it was pretty mediocre and didn't really impress. I did like that it let you have your whole party on the field at one though. Always bugs me to have more party members than you're allowed to have in battle because there's always someone you never use because all the others are just better or never remove because they're too good.

Layaway is pretty similar, but it can be useful if you want to reserve something you don't have the money for yet but could be sold out by the time you do.
