I would not describe it as literally zero changes to gameplay. It seems like it at first but it ends up feeling pretty different before long due to what they did change.

No, I replayed it recently. It may have had characters telling you hints from time to time but not this.

Why did they think everyone playing this needed the switch to open a door pointed out to them 3 frames after they enter a room?

Apparently I bought it from PSN last time. May even play it someday.

PS++ had a good enough starting selection to make up for each month only being so-so. It's not exactly Gamepass but if you already are going to pay for online multiplayer it doesn't cost as much as Gamepass.

+++ is only a $20 annual upgrade from ++ and I don't think it's worth it.

My subscription just expired and I renewed at ++. Still seems like the right choice. Nothin' but streaming PS3 games and I have them.

The (ground) overworld being dungeons placed in the way of other dungeons was pretty cool, since dungeons were the best part, and had been the only tolerable part in PH/ST.

I'm going to use this as evidence to say that everyone who was certainthis would be terrible from previews and didn't understand how one could be even cautiously interested were taking it a bit too far. Then again, those worse reviews...

FWIW I never had any issues with the motion controls at all and thought they worked really well.

They work really well for normal Zelda gameplay, but whoever devised the "music" minigame should be crowned the new King of Evil.

There are some weird weapons in this game.

The Marauder Armor looks like the strongest one from UYA. And I would've attributed playable Ratchet-sized Clank to Deadlocked.

The HDR running the previous game was kind of bizarre-looking. Very red fire and blue uh, anything remotely blue.

I never had that experience. Running and evading speed is quite quick, as it needs to be for combat. You hit a button to jump across things.

What's wrong with moving around in that game?

I paid attention to loadouts. There are benefits to doing so. It's not as open but there's also not much useless junk because almost everything is predetermined by location

I would've given the first game a 10. I'm not one of those people who says "A 10 has to be actually perfect," I just really enjoyed it and have no meaningful overall complaints about it.

Basically. You had a hub and then some flexibility on which dungeons and small areas to go into when.

I think a critic saying it falls short of expectations on a thematic, narrative level and still giving it an 8/10 is a good sign.

Cheaper than the Valve Index. Which I've got, so I suppose I'll be skipping this one.

I have no idea how to use Doomtrain effectively, but its counterpart weapon is kickass.

Lara Croft Go was great though! I didn't get far into Hitman Go because it kept having technical issues on my phone at the time.

Red Robin a completely generic burger that is not special in any way. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's an Applebees/Chilis/TGI Fridays situation. All the same restaurant.

I don't know why, but, I have a more positive feeling about it than those others. Maybe specializing in burgers helps a little.

Nioh 2 minus DLC, looks like. I'd endorse picking up the season pass during this sale if you think you'll make it through the main campaign and keep going.

Speaking of cutscenes, I'm off and running and even by the prologue holy shit can the Switch not handle this game's cutscenes. Doesn't seem like they go above 30 and I swear I've seen drops down to, like, 10. Gameplay seems smooth so far, though, thankfully!

The first game has 30FPS cutscenes but how do cutscenes possibly drop that much? Will need a patch, I'm guessing.

It's not much of the cake by weight or volume, I guess.

Is it about shipping? It sounded like it was. Even if I happen to agree with the critic's evaluation of the ships, I have my doubts that it will matter all that much.

If Bart was Light, Sideshow Bob could be L for a good reversal. Lisa has certainly been involved in that feud enough but she isn't his fixation. (Rakes. It's rakes.) Lisa could have been L due to her intelligence, idealism, and having a name that starts with L, but she makes some sense as Light too for the same reasons. I'd expect a "nerd" type as L, maybe Milhouse given his history with Lisa, or Martin as Light (if he could carry a whole segment as the main character).

Chief Wiggum is L and just keeps making blatantly wrong inferences based on the evidence
