I was going to say Blazblue. It's true of Guilty Gear as well but Blazblue throws together so much technology, metaphysics, jargon and time travel, while also having a series of long, verbose, branching VNs as the story mode for every game, that none of it is comprehensible at this point if you try to jump in.

There are different standards for ethernet cables, but the newer cat5s can do 1Gbps, and I don't think they're all that recent.

TBH I'll cancel mine for now just to try to make a point. It's painful for me to. I'm so hyped for this game.

I don't think I played Spider-Man in 60FPS in the first place. It was 30 on PS4, right? I hear it's an unusually well-disguised and consistent locked 30FPS, but it surprised me because it's an extremely face-paced and fluid game. I guess I'm hyper-sensitive to framerate drops, but I can adjust to lower locked framerates as long as it doesn't screw up the gameplay, such as how it does in fighting games.

I'll probably be booed off stage for this, but I recently played the Spider-Man games in 30FPS mode and they didn't even look slightly bad.

Is this game going to be good enough for that to matter?

I just can't deal with the fact that Symphonia doesn't have a battle camera designed to work for more than one player. Co-op is what carries Tales of.

I can always get through a dumb story if playing the game isn't a miserable slog. I don't expect great stories from Tales of, in general.

You're entitled to your opinion but I cannot fathom why so many people agree with you.

I tried Vesperia again recently. Dropped it. Never again. But it's not all JRPGs. You can find stuff on the SNES, maybe even NES, that's still engaging and fun. But a lot of the ones that people say are the greatest, yeesh. PS1 JRPGs often have big problems with style over practicality, but it's not just PS1.

My impressions of the beta last night: login and lobbies have some issues. In-game works as well as ever even vs. console. I lost more than I would've liked, but it was a time slot for the hardcore to be playing the beta rather than newbies trying the game for free.

Also keep in mind that tests can be a bit random, so running multiple may help. But I was seeing like 90% of the router, not 50. Are you using an ethernet cable, or wifi?

This may be something that requires calling customer service, if you think it's worth it.

For one thing, you only can download as fast as the external source sends data. Your download speed is like an upper limit or capacity. I don't know where the inconsistency comes in between the router and PC speed test specifically, but I checked and there is a discrepancy in mine as well for both upload and download speeds. I'm not sure there's a problem.

Depends on whether they're intended for battles to the death or not. No, this seems like severe negligence.

When I picture this it almost has to be something basic like reversing B and A. Because otherwise you're just holding a sequence in memory that doesn't even resemble the one it's supposed to be.

If you haven't watched part 2, you have something to look forward to.

An example of a tangible one is that ever-significant urban superstructure, the Millennium Tower.

Something with significance to the characters, possibly a psychic space, or a tangible one that has played a role in their past.

That terrible dub has Mark Hamill as Majima, though.

This is exactly what everyone was expecting

When I played it the double jump would just not execute outside of an extremely small window, leading to a lot of what happens in a platformer when your inputs suddenly fail in midair. I don't know if it was just the HD trilogy because I had no memory of it from playing the original.

They made the one for PS5. Many of the others have been passed along to other studios by now if they even still exist.

Even with the limited starting capabilities, movement feels more or less like an IGAvania. It's fast and smooth and there's a backstep. Melee is similar. You can attack up or forward with a spear thing, but there's also a ground heavy attack and a charged attack. The health system is interesting. You have a "shield" meter that goes down from getting hit or using projectiles, and up from landing melee attacks. If it depletes fully you have to use an animation to restore it to 50%. And if hit when it's empty you lose one of your two real HP.

Oh, I didn't mean Deadlocked was the worst one, I meant it was the least platforming-focused. ToD is rather rough. They turned it around for CiT but they're still struggling to find the level of the PS2 games.
