Now that I've calmed down, and the clarity has set in, I know that there is no way this team would've beaten SF next week, so being out one week early is not the end of the world. The Packers simply were not a good team this year. Yes, we beat the lowly bears and rams to start our magical run, then we got two straight games with 4 defensive turnovers each plus some special teams miracles. Those kind of games are anomalies and masked the fact that we were still a mediocre team pretending to be something this year. While we had a few bright spots, there was a lot of regression, especially offensively. It's a shame that losing Davante Adams would be this impactfuly.

I would be at peace if this was Rodgers last game as a Packer. In a way, I'm kind of hungry for a reboot. Let's see what Jordan Love can do. I'm ready for the next chapter.

And as for the Lions, I'm alright with letting them be the one doing the gloating for once. I know the Packers have been a thorn in their side for decades, and to get this one on us...well...I can't even really be mad about it.

when they replayed that blitz on the Rodgers interception, it is clear he made a horrible read on that, which Rodgers has done a lot more this season than in seasons past. He just cant make the right read if there's any kind of pressure,

it may be a bit of an overreaction, and seeing Walker beat himself up as he walked down the tunnel did add a little sympathy for him for what was likely a bad instinctive move, but something like that really saps the desire out of me to see this team succeed. With everything on the line, this team has played like crap today. I am still hoping they pull through but they have not shown up to play like their life is on the line. They are playing like a team with the jitters.

I was going to brag a few days ago about Giannis scoring a career high 55 points in a game, but honestly it doesnt seem as impressive compared to higher scoring outings by others this season. He is a big man though, so its not like he can rack up 3s like some of these other lights out scorers can do.

Ok, just saw an article on NFL website, apparently an 8 team playoff isn't even on the table.

The proposals involve neutral sites for AFC championship under certain conditions and possibility of Baltimore getting a coin flip to play their first playoff game at home if its against Cincy and if they win on Sunday.

Their emphasis was not disrupting other teams as much as possible.

neutral site for AFC champ game does not help the greater advantage of 1st round bye. I think 8 seeded tourney would make more sense, keep home field advantage as is. I also think it makes no sense to adjust the NFC playoff picture at all.

I vaguely recall a movie with a similar plot, except they werent boyfriend/girlfriend but instead he picks her up when she was hitchiking (though they do end up becoming romantic), but otherwise the plot is almost identical. Turns out she was the evil one in the end, which was the big twist.

They confirm it was cardiac arrest and that they did get his heart pumping again, but nonetheless he is still listed in critical condition and is not breathing on his own. Possible sign of brain damage I assume from the lack of oxygen during the cardiac arrest.

They did the right thing by postponing the game, but news reports about the team returning to Buffalo makes me think they might not even resume this game, especially if his life continues to hang in the balance like this. Potentially a forfeit by the Bills or even just a tie recorded for the game would be the best solution.

I suppose. There is also an unlikely scenario where the Patriots get in even with a loss and the Bills get #1 even with a loss. Very rare, but if that would happen that would make for one anti-climactic SNF game. I guess Packers/Lions it is!

If the Bills win tomorrow, it actually makes the Patriots/Bills game in week 18 my most likely candidate for SNF. Patriots obviously for their win and in situation and the Bills playing to win for the 1 seed (assuming Kansas City takes care of business against Oakland).

As a Packer fan, I wouldn't mind Packers/Lions honestly, especially if Seattle wins earlier in the day. That would deflate Detroit a bit, even if they still want to play hard to kick us out, it's still not the same as fighting for your own playoff berth.

Cincy/Baltimore is another option, though its missing that win and in dynamic to it, so I honestly don't expect that to be the one chosen.

I can't think of any other game besides those three that would be chosen.

they cant do Packers/Lions because if the Seahawks win, then Detroit has nothing to play for. They likely are going to have to unexcitingly pick the Jags/Titans game.
