Burger King had long been the #2 restaurant in the US behind the behemoth that is McDonald's, but a consistent decline over the past decade has led Wendy's to jump into the #2 spot, despite having less restaurants than Burger King does.

While many factors are attributed to Burger King's decline, one of the more fascinating theories is the change Burger King made to the way they cook their burger patties. Traditionally, Burger King used an open flame broiler to cook the patties. This gave them their unique taste that many grew to love. However, a little over a decade ago, Burger King upgraded their broilers to be more energy efficient and economical. The changes led to the burger patties losing their trademark flame grilled taste (though some claim they havent noticed any difference). Burger King also gutted their value menu at about that same time, removing the popular jr. whopper and double cheeseburger from the dollar menu.

Personally, I'd only go to Burger King for breakfast these days. Their lunch/dinner menu is very uninspiring, and they have the worst nuggets in the business.

After doing some cleanup, I realized I had made one nom too many somehow, woops, so I removed my nom for Simple and Clean.

More importantly, I have decided that I will expand the tournament to 128 songs. We have about 116 songs currently with 2 or more noms, so the safety cutoff is still above 1 nom at the moment. I'll post one last update once the changes deadline is met.

Yeah, I am puzzled at some of the facts so far. so the shooter had attended the school, which one would easily conclude maybe they were bullied or had a difficult time at that school. But remember, this was a K-6 school, and the shooter was 28 years old. The shooter had gone to middle school, high school, and lived quite a few years as an adult, but all of a sudden wants to settle an elementary school grudge? Was that truly where the person was most wronged in life? It just seems strange.

I mean, clearly this individual was very mentally disturbed to act out an attack like this, so I'm not expecting any logical reasoning in their actions, but it's just peculiar.

I usually love rooting for underdogs and ninth seed FAU would seem to fit that bill perfectly, but the team is just so boring to me for some reason, I cant even explain why, and I am just very apathetic to their run.

An interesting trend I'm seeing is that more conservative media outlets are using she/her pronouns (not entirely sure what the shooter preferred or how important that even is given the atrocities the shooter performed), while liberal media outlets are not using pronouns at all, crafting the articles in such a way to avoid them.

And I just found out that it wasn't a trans female; it was a trans male. Female at birth, but identified as male. This is going to be a media circus.

I just feel bad for those kids. Three 9 year olds reportedly killed. They did not deserve that. This just sucks.

the shooter was a transgender female to be specific, and was a former student at the school, which is a K-6 school. Three student and three adults are dead beside the killer. Poor kids.

What do I call this, then? Boy Meets World - Theme Song (Seasons 1-4)? The vocal one was used in seasons 5-8, and is credited to Phil Rosenthal. Feel free to make the distinction known.

I was actually originally going to include this on my list too, but then I found out it was based on a preexisting song so I didnt think it qualified.

Well, it does use the melody of a pre-existing song but the lyrics are original, and we're not just talking a couple words being swapped out, its pretty much a complete rework. As such, I think I'll allow it.

As as far as the number of songs. There is definitely an overwhelmingly large amount of songs eligible and nominations so far reflect that.

Whether or not it will be a 64 or 128 song tournament, though, will depend on how many nominations we get and how that looks. I'm definitely open to expanding it to 128. However, I'm not sure it benefits the tournament to expand to 128 just to include songs that have one nomination. So we'll see, but it's definitely in play.

Also, which Boy Meets World theme are you referring to? The show had four intro sequences throughout its run.

I am assuming the one with the lyrics to it ("When this boy meets world...") unless noted otherwise.

yeah this confuses me a bit. I heard during the pre-round 1 sports shows that when it came to sleeper picks, Miami and Uconn were mentioned the most, and here they both are. But for some reason Uconn is already coronated while Miami is relegated to the likes of SDSU and FAU.

Actually, I rescind my previous comment. After looking into it further, the NFL on Fox theme is currently own by Fox Broadcasting Company, who is in charge of the broadcast station the NFL and MLB games play on that use that theme. Since Disney owns ABC, they are not allowed to own two of the four major broadcasting networks.

The Fox Sports Regional Channels were sold to Disney, who ultimately flipped them and sold them to Sinclair (which is why they are called Bally sports channels now).

So after further review, I would say the NFL on Fox theme does not qualify, but you are free to nominate the Monday Night Football theme if you'd like.

Well, now there's a 75% chance of a 5 or 9 seed winning it all, which would be a tournament first.

I think they looked at the timer and it was really delayed at first touch. If the timer started correctly it would be at 0 when ball goes out of bounds.

At the end of 2021, I hosted a Best Animated Disney Movie Song Tournament, and March Madness fever has gotten me in the mood to host another Disney song tournament. This time around though, I want to be more inclusive.

Thus, Im proposing a Best Disney Song Ever Tournament. Any song that originated from a Disney movie, tv show, or short (animated or not) is eligible. This includes scores and tv intro/outro songs. It includes the Star Wars and Marvel franchises as well as 20th Century Fox movies. It also includes any songs created for the various Disney theme parks. Ill even allow video game music thats under the Disney brand.

The only exception is the song must come from/be made for that show/movie/etc., it cant be a pre-existing song that originated elsewhere that just appears in the show/movie/etc.

**NOMINATION PERIOD**

• Nominations will be open for one week from the time of this post.
• Everyone will get 25 nominations divided as follows:

1 Super nom: 5x
4 double noms: 2x
20 single noms: 1x

• Please identify which nom is which clearly ^
• No alts please. No rallying. No trading. The super nom is created in lieu of trading. Its basically a guaranteed entry into the tournament.
• You may change your nominations after making them, but please be as clear as possible.
• Changes to nominations will be locked 6 days from the time of this post; you may still make any additional nominations in the final 24 hours.
• The preferred format is: Song Title (movie/show/etc.)
