It was a phenomenon based around the 3D technology and an unoffensive story. It is not something that ever needed a ten year plan to create four back to back sequels that will lack the appeal due to declining interest in 3D. I expect the movies will be profitable, but I have a hard time imagine they're going to be anywhere close to the original without a gimmick.

There was no interest in 3D back then either, besides dumb movies like Spy Kids.

Avatar is the thing that made it huge. It was pretty much the first good 3D movie.

Story, while not amazing, was definitely relatable and servicable. Not to mention the atmosphere and lore was there. It was easy to understand and fun to see.

Avatar is not some deep, life changing event. It was just a really fun movie that was easy to get into, and had amazing tech.

Discussions about the cutoff of when The Simpsons stopped being good always make me chuckle. Ten years ago the last good season was 8. Then it bumped up to 10. And so on. I see were up to 15 now.

The Simpsons has been consistently watchable for its entire run, and I hate how much of a thing it became to just automatically dismiss anything after a certain time (which, again, is extra funny because its constantly changing). There are obviously a few stinkers out there (which is bound to happen when a show runs for 30+ years) and even though newer episodes may not be as good as the classics, theyre still watchable (unless you go in with that Angry Nerd mindset of well Im expecting to not like it so Im not going to like it mindset).

It has always hovered between 8-10 for the last ten years.

Personally, 10 is definitely where it starts falling apart, but there are good episodes up to season 12

Yeah, if you're that bad with your money, just don't go. Trains + temporary accommodation was never expensive in the countries I visited or lived in growing up or as an adult (Japan, China, European countries, South Korea, etc.)

You better be making less than minimum wage in whatever country you're in, and the tickets better be crazy expensive. That's just sad, especially if the country's a comparable size to Japan.

This is the first time she wants to see me while she is single, and has been very nice and. Kind of flattering recently. So confusing.

If this were the old her, it would be nice. But i cant tell if she wants me, or if she wants me to play with her kids because she is that bored and needs something to do.

Honestly I wanted to fix things for a while, but after so many maybes for years, the inability to speak her mind, and using the kids as an excuse to see me, it makes me feel like im being set up. Maybe im overthinking, so i need an outside opinion.

My ex wants to meet up. We havent seen eachother in over a year. We have been on very good terms for a while. She has slipped up and said she would want to hook up if she really needed it, but took it back immediately.

She has kids from a previous marriage, who I grew close to. She asked them if they wanted to see me, which was of course a yes from them.

However, she has always said she doesnt want them to see us together, in fear they would get confused.

So of course, when she asks, Im confused. She says the kids wanna see me, and she isnt worried, because the kids eill be there (i guess she cant be tempted?). I mentioned it is quite expensive to visit someone who Im not dating (it is a train ride), and she immediately did the whole oh ok its ok maybe next time ok i get it.

so what do you guys think. Does she want me? Does she just want attention? Is this a stupid game? Should i go anyway?

Fusion remains the only 2d game that actually gave me a jump scare. Play it with headphones. The sound design is fantastic. I wasn't even playing it in the dark it was In broad daylight on a plane. Fantastic game . That game and Lunar made me realize how important sound design is in games. Like it's almost as crucial if not even more crucial then graphic design

What I find weird are people who don't like 3 but worship KH2 as the ultimate action game.

3 continued the same trends from 2. Camera is zoomed out more, more enemies on screen but they are less of a threat, lack of weight to movement, more action focused scenarios, similar story issues.

I've always liked the first game the most and it's the odd duck.

Nah, I agree with you. Except Im playing KH3 in Critical, so every battle can end in disaster easily.

KH 1 was janky, but at the time it came out, the scope of the story, and the integration of Disney villains into the main plot made it seem the most cohesive, intriguing, and charming

It has a lot of cool combat options, it looks amazing, they finally fixed the dumb low-poly models in cutscenes, everyone animates and emotes properly, the worlds are HUGE and actually lived-in with more than just arenas and corridors.

But i feel the worlds are TOO big, now. Port Royal is an interesting concept, but it feels like im playing a completely different game. I reallyyyyyyy dont care about this world enough to explore it. Im not exactly a Pirates fan either, so i just want to move on and see more interesting Disney stuff, and actually get to the MAIN PLOT, which brings me to the other point.

For a finale, this game sure drags its feet at giving you any info, and having any meaningful story progression. I know, the Disney worlds tie up loose ends in Soras inner character, and gives insight into what a heart really is, but.

This is the final game in this story. I dont care about Jack Sparrow and his uncanny freinds, there are stakes.

BIS is so good. Best writing in the series, and a really funny concept too.
