The ai you see floating around on youtube (sienfeld, the obama gamer videos) arent special. As for sienfeld, if you even watched it, you would see it repeat weird random subjects, meaning that it was getting info from a pool of predetermined scenarios.

As for Obama gamer, its as simple as going into an editing software and tuning stuff up. And the dialogue is scripted. Im half thinking it might not even be a program, and just really good voice actors.

When i was in kindergarten, our teacher showed us a video of how dinosaurs had slow brain response time or something. There was a scientific animated diagram showing how information went from the body to the brain, like a fuse on a bomb, and when it reached the brain, a dramatic effect went off.

to my young mind, i thought it meant that dinosaurs were so stupid, that their heads would just explode randomly.

My teacher just let me say it out loud too.

This is one of my earliest core memories of school. Im a teacher now, and it helps me to remember how to explain complex ideas in a clearer way.

Speaking strictly in terms of say, speaking to foreigners who are learning English. There is a lot of nuance the AI cant pick up on, as well as context, cultural context, musings, and people speaking with poor grammar.

The most it will be able to do is pick up on an individuals tone and it might be able to mimic a voice.

All the stuff you see right now on youtube is being manipulated by an engineer. It isnt actually creating this on its own, it is being given a cache of info and being told to target certain instances.

Its toxic because youre skipping the slow burn of getting to know someone, and skip right to the part where there are expectations.

It can also become addicting for people who always need to level up, and always worry about what else they could have.

Then there are people who just lie on their profiles, etc.

It isnt all bad but wow it is a dumpster fire at times.

This is kind of the case for a lot of teaching jobs. It is never a job you take because it is well organized and has a great support system. The people who stay in it do it because they love it. And if you arent loving it, run. It doesnt get better.

Dont blame you for wanting to leave. Nobody understands how disorganized, unruly, and understaffed schools really are. It is rarely the teachers fault.

As someone who was born there in 87

It used to be much better. It used to be incredibly cheap, lots of jobs, good weather, and affordable rent.

Now everything has nearly quadrupled in price. One bedroom apartments are about 2000$ in the not get murdered part of town. Speaking of that part of town, there only used to be one. Now it is basically everything after dark, outside of the strip. We used to have stormy summers. Now Vegas is lucky if they even get an inch of rain a year. Those storms used to be so cool. And summers were hot, but not dangerous. Now you have a risk of dying by just being out during the daytime unprotected (and remember, you dont wanna go out at night if you arent in the tourist area).

And since they legalized pot, the whole town smells like a high school locker room.

Yeah it is fun to visit, but the high point died long ago.

Its a hard series to get into. World is def the best for beginners (and also my fav).

But once it clicks, and you finally get into the flow of things, it gets really fun.

Trust me, I started on 3 on 3DS and didnt know what i needed to do, why there were so many items and shops, etc. i cant even imagine what the earlier ones were like

Sometimes I think it's a shame shows go on too long. Sure it's great that it's successful but when you reach the giant sperm episode or the sex dragons episode or the space train episode. It's clear these are undeveloped B ideas

Oh yeah, the dragons and sperm episode were not only grotesque, but kind of stupid and childish too. Not in a thats the point, but did they even try way. Id also say Two Crows, was also really dumb. The more i think about it, the more everything after season 3 seemed to get really pretentious I. Kind of liked Space Train, but only because it reminded me of a writing class I took in college.

On the flip side, I think the Piss Master episode was one of the better ones.

I rarely drink but yeah, Id believe it is true.

It would benefit a lot of people i know if they would quit drinking. There are so many better things to drink, or do, to get into a good mood.

I liked watching it before. Its funny, usually clever, interesting. But man people were right, this show really does love winking to the camera and getting meta after season 3. Sometimes it is funny, but it gets a bit eye-rolling as it goes on.

Not to mention how unbearably negative it can be at times. I dont mind jerk characters, the the bleakness of every character and plot gets exhausting, mentally.

Ive watched and read a lot of weird stuff, but for some reason, this show actually made me think that I need to be more positive and less cynical.
