Halloween, as I remember it, has two distinct reasons for celebration.

The first is it is the halfway point between the summer equinox and winter solstice and a major time for harvesting crops, and something about that specific time was supposed to allow mythical beings, or something to the effect, to breach into our world, which is where the spookier aspects of the holiday, as we celebrate it, come from.

I recall hearing that people wore masks to hide from the mythical beings looking for them.

I've seen Inspected by #28 or some other number a few times.

Also like what about the people who grow or attend to the food that get produced.

Or the people who made the cans or packaging.

Haven't watched regular TV in years.

Even then I think it was at least the mid 80s they quit.

I know game shows did it.

Some shows use to have something like "this broadcast or production was brought to you by".

The person underneath actually died decades ago.

Hell until my Dad actually died a few years ago, for like 20 years my Dad use to say that he was already dead, but just haven't fallen over yet.

Didn't start using blue/black until at least 10 years ago.

I think using the original colors those first 10 years made me nearsighted.

Failed my DMV test about 11 years ago and had to get glasses to read anything 15ft away.
