Reviews aren't meaningless, aggregate numbers are meaningless. Reviews serve an excellent purpose as long as you read them and take in the specifics, and see if the reason for their opinions match up with yours!

but in all honesty, this is a fair point. A game thats a point and click adventure or a VN isnt likely going to sit well for a gamer whos favorite games are heavy action/FPS style games, but understanding which ones fit your interest should be the primary thing you should look for.

Theres also plenty of websites that forego review scores! Polygon, RPS, Kotaku are all generally high regarded blogs that produce plenty of reviews without scores that tell you what they think of the game. Digital Foundry got really popular just playing into the performance of certain games. Its all just about being willing to explore if you so choose.

You can look at the opencritic scores the same way you would a rotten tomatoes or something similar, a good guide point but you can always choose to dive a little deeper if you wish

If you don't read a review it's meaningless. Honestly, numbered reviews should just be eliminated entirely. Weed out the people who would get upset about it.

Honestly this game kinda just reminds me of Fallen Order, which I just played and didnt really like but can see why others liked it

Sabretooth is a 3/4 which is vanilla stats so the only benefit you get from playing him is from destroying him.

So Carnage could get +2 (turning Sabretooth into a 3/6 effectively) which still isn't very good.

Or Venom eats him which makes him a 3/8 (3/4 in a lane and +4 power on Venom). So that's okay but not GREAT.

Yeah it's nice to have a free 4 power on the final turn but you still had to pay 3 mana for him so he's not really free. So you basically get to move him once but worse because you can't play him into unplayable lanes.

He just doesn't fit into many decks unfortunately.

Vision is better but mainly because you can use him in Lockjaw decks and move him away if Lockjaw pulls him out of your deck. A 5/7 is not great stats and he comes down late enough that you probably know what turn 5 and turn 6 are looking for your opponent. So just play a stronger turn 5 card in the actual lane you want instead of a weaker one with more flexibility.

I just think at 3 I would rather play a destroyer card and 5 cards like Hobgoblin/Leech/Klaw have more utility

Sandman is very good in zoo because you usually build a lead then play it then just follow up with your usual bombs

worst one is probably like, Vision or Sabretooth. Maybe Rhino but I found him pretty good as a second Witch in a control deck
