There was a real magic to the original Civil War, the sprawling recruitment, the espionage, the underground, street-level battles and the public reaction. Stories like Front Lines bringing news-oriented investigation alongside the week-by-week excitement of the almost point-scoring system of heroes and villains extracting punishment in the form of blood. Civil War and Infinite Crisis came out in the same year (with 52) and it was one of the biggest years in comic shops for a reason. It had all of the immediacy of event shows like LOST and 24 while maintaining really strong writing with all-star line-ups across entire companies. I don't think either company came close to their events capturing the imagination of fans at the time.

Civil War the movie is... an argument in an airport parking lot. It's the one time I think the MCU doesn't do a story concept justice in its translation. I don't usually care at all about fidelity as long as the soul is there, but the soul was NOT there.

But it's not getting frozen at the 2022 status quo. A regulatory update every 4-5 years is exactly the period I'd imagine for this kind of thing. If there was something new every year or two then yeah the bureaucracy is gonna be problematic but this case seems perfectly fine

What browsers other than Firefox or Chrome do anyone use?

Honestly a smart decision with adblock going away for a lot of browsers next year.
