A world with replicators and holodecks is pretty appealing just from a basic human comfort perspective. But there's a world of difference between a "safe" starfleet assignment and, say, being another body in the meatgrinder of the Dominion War. Or the aforementioned redshirt, sure.

X benefits from having the 3 different composers working on it, so many memorable tracks. I do feel like I need to ding it because the remastered soundtrack makes several tracks actively worse (FAR worse in the case of "Challenge", how do you rip out the best part of the original, damn it)

I was literally going to make the same post as Snake, that it's between VII and X and I do also think, much like the game itself, the XV OST doesn't get as much credit as it probably should, I remember it being pretty strong on its atmospheric pieces but especially strong on its battle themes. Need to replay it, maybe before XVI comes out...

Yeah it could be because Tori was playing from the bottom for so much of the game whereas Sydney was dominant until she was twistfucked

but Sydney was also hilarious in her delivery, like terrific comic timing and natural camera presence, and I don't recall the same vibes from Tori.
