Looks decent, though I'm not a fan of her rendition (that we've heard) of that song. It's kind of too 'look I'm a good singer' try hard. Ursula's laugh was nice, tho. And I'm still keen to see what Lin-Manuel brings to the table.

Nah, Spyro Reignited is definitely a remake. Dunno about this new Prime game though, I haven't looked into it at all and only know it's been received well.

For me it's not about an interesting mystery narrative, just how fun the gameplay was and doing your detective stuff.

I did, and it ended up being my favorite demo of the batch I went through after I tried it out on a whim. Easily gonna be a day one play.

I can see it going either way lol. But I hope it doesn't. Though as a silver lining it would make saving for others easier. I'm interested in Shenhe and Nahida should be rerunning soon.

It's always looked great to me.

There's a shaky leak going on now that I hope isn't true, that Dehya will be a standard banner character. I don't care about the kit stuff but I can't convince myself to pull for a standard option.

The issue with Sanji is that isn't a personality flaw, it's his entire personality. He's the only crew member I dislike and it isn't just dislike for me, I just straight up hate him lol.

It's fun! I didn't look at it initially and groaned over "another combat event." This one is unique though and I've enjoyed the gameplay. And yep, hydro is next.

The strongbox isn't meant to be something you spend resin for, though. You spend resin for normal artifact farming and the strongbox is there for getting rid of excess useless 5* artifacts with a chance of getting something useful in return.

I'm caught up and I'll never swallow the pill that Nami is stronger than Usopp. Not to say Nami isn't strong, but Usopp has so much more versatility and creativity. His issue is his author doesn't give much time to him, same with Chopper.

She looks really good now.

Aight just finished the normal route, should be able to knock out the rest tomorrow. I'm assuming they're not terribly long when skipping through text I already read but maybe I'll be wrong. Game has been so great though.

That's good. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it. I've gone through all of the SciAdv VNs (including the original Chaos;Head with it's buggy fan-translation) and I'm still really enjoying reading Noah. While it's not as good as the other parts of the series (Chaos;Child and Steins;Gate being towards the top), it's still a really good ride. Takumi is the ultimate filter isn't he?

He really is the ultimate filter lol. Back in the day when I first played S;G on Vita, Okabe filtered me. Looking back, it feels silly. I just took him too seriously, and I dropped it at the start. Tried again a month or two later and fell in love with it properly and I've adored Okabe since then. And now here I am with Takumi.

Before bed I got a bit into chapter 8 where I saw him attempting to commit suicide, and that was really hard to read. I feel so bad for him.

She's a really interesting character. She's finally been getting more spotlight time in later chapters, which is nice. And I love her design.

I like the atmosphere somewhat but the first part is plagued by a protagonist who actively tries to avoid the story and all events as much as possible, and the later part gets a bit too far into the ridiculous nonsense zone

that said I've heard chaos head noah is a lot better than original chaos head so if you're playing that it would make a lot more sense

I am playing Noah, yeah. With the improved fan patch, as well. Definitely worth the wait for me. But yeah, Takumi...his high level of cowardice can be frustrating. He's a unique kind of protagonist. I'd never call him a good person, but I am enjoying him as a character all the same.

I've finally been able to properly start the Science Adventure series with Noah and over the years I've seen it crapped on a lot. Not just the anime, which is apparently a piss poor adaptation, but I mean the VN. So I wasn't sure how I'd like it and was prepared for it to be pretty mediocre game I'd have to push through for the sake of C;Child and Robotics;Notes.

Granted, I'm not done with the first route yet, I have two chapters left, but it's been really damn good and just keeps getting better. I don't know if they were just btfo'd hard by the incel protagonist or what. (Understandable, in all honesty.)

I'm super excited for this! I tried playing the original Marie a few months ago or so and bounced off.

No offense, but this is precisely the type of hyperbole I'm talking about being amusing. You're literally comparing a new five-star that Mihoyo wants to sell to what's arguably the shittiest four-star in the game. I hardly think Dehya is going to walk on water, but my experience with this game is that every five star is at least reasonably useful and info we get from beta testers is dubious at best.

Either way, I don't really care about how powerful she is. I just care if she's fun to play.

I don't get it, either. It feels like all the doomposting about who's "good" or not, they define good as leet Abyss12 times and/or Youtube showcase videos where people can go 'holy crap!' over it. None of that is necessary imo and for general, normal playing...she'll be fine.

I appreciate the opinions. It sounds kind of like a Warband graphical remake then instead of a whole sequel, which, honestly, sounds like something worth Gamepass or a big sale haha. I'll check it out that way then.

It's going up on Gamepass soon and I'll be playing a batch of games once I resub in May for Redfall. But I've heard some pretty meh meh things for Bannerlord in EA and during its launch announcement. Is it pretty fun and worth the install/time or should I just stay happy with Warband?

No. The books went out of their way by the end to say how things aren't black and white like that and lumping all the kids in one house as good and evil wasn't the right and accurate thing to be doing. I also disagree that the other two are "filler houses." They were sorted based off traits they have and value. Not all kids could be divided by either "brave" or "ambitious/cunning."

Hopefully you like Skypiea. From what I can tell it's generally pretty polarizing? A lot of people think it's boring.

I'm excited for that beetle event. Though I read I need to do a few character quests and that chasm Yelan quest, glad I looked into it before the event arrived.

This game is bloated af with expensive looking trailers and cutscenes.

If I had to guess, I would say the lack of voice acting on these long chain quests is probably the result of time and logistics, not money.

They have to churn this content out so fast that recording so many hours of voice acting with so many different characters just isn't feasible.

I don't mind, personally. Not having VA gives them more time and ability to make them longer imo.
