I thought the discussion was about if Finn was a wasted character or not; not if he was the main character. This argument feels forced.

From what I recall, the main character was kept ambiguous in marketing as a part of Abrams' "mystery box" approach to storytelling.

However, past that there was never any doubt that Rey was the lead protagonist. Anything else is revisionist.

Buffets are an alternative to traditional sit down dining, where rather than picking one or two dishes you can sample from a large variety of options, while remaining practical for kitchen and wait staff. It's an alternative method to exploring the same meal.

You should not be eating more than 1 or 2 plates at a buffet. You certainly shouldn't be stacking buffet plates with multiples of the same item (with the intention of eating multiple meals worth of a single item). You definitely shouldn't be filling an entire plate with samples from the dessert table.

In my travels, most countries and tourists understand this, but Americans seem to lack self control and cause undue stress to buffet staff. What is the reason behind this?

I've seen people like it, but it's either your thing or it isn't without a lot of in between. I couldn't sit through it personally. But it's something different which is probably good for the MCU franchise.

The reason minimum wage changes don't seem to be making a dent is because it just gives the upper class more funds to suck up from the plebs.

You need mass guillotines wage and compensation slashes for the executive class, high ranking bureaucrats and the financial sector. Because that's where the money is going. The drain needs to be clogged at the source.

Of course that's never going to fucking happen so for now minimum wage increases is the best we can hope for. Even if that ultimately just upsets things in the short term it will create an incentive to fix things more broadly (eg, create a labor shortage for middle class jobs that are no longer providing competitive compensation).

It honestly doesn't seem like that long ago that I was a "gaunt looking" college freshman. I've actually been putting off weighing myself for a month because I needed to eat fast food almost every day and knew I'd gained, but it still caught me off guard.

I didn't think it would bother me so much, but I'm starting to feel some resentment rise up. If I had been popular and successful at dating in my early 20s, it wouldn't have been such a big deal.

But the combination of age and genetics means if guys aren't popular in their teens they slowly become doomed to being social outcasts the rest of their lives. I've seen the same thing happen to many of my uncles who put on staggering amounts of weight as they got older. Now they're stuck being miserable for the remaining half of their lives.
