when i was in korea, it was early march so the weather was around the 30s on the coldest days, 50 on the warmest. snow was still on the ground.

however, there was a dude from minnesota in our group of exchange students. we met up once and we were all bundled up, layers and layers and layers of clothing, hat, gloves, etc.

this dudes walks out in a tight tshirt and jeans. thats it. he's like "what you think this is cold? it's not cold!"

i took a day off of work for this crap. nothing even happened. it was a big dud. that's the last time i trust the news for anything. they could tell me a meteor is coming for my house and stand outside my door saying it's coming and i wouldn't believe them.

Isn't that how it normally works? You buy a new vehicle, you get temp paper plates. You then need to register with the DMV to get "real" ones from them.

it was a used car. there were no plates. they issued me paper plates when i took it home and told me new plates are coming in the mail. they said they would handle all the DMV paperwork.

what jerks. ive been waiting and waiting for my real plates and nothing. finally i gave up and called DMV and said there was no license plate order, just a transfer and it should have came with plates.

no plates. they gave me paper plates. so i had to go down to the DMV and buy new plates for 25 dollars.

time to take them to small claims court for 25 dollars.

this is the best feeling lol. my son does this too. on occasion he'll stop what he's doing to run over to me and give me a hug. well. his version of a hug, which is running up to me, touching me then running away lol.

he also knows when i'm about to leave. he'll hear me grabbing my keys or putting on my jacket and shoes and he'll run up to me asking to be picked up, then point toward the door, like saying take me with you lol.

how did i miss this topic.

my son is 17 months now and he's started his terrible twos. comes up to us demanding we pick up him and take him places. if we say no he throws themself down and starts crying crying crying. sometimes he'll bang his head, then cry because he hurt his head.

every resource says ignore it and don't reward bad behavior but god damn. hard to do.

my wife is 7 weeks pregnant as well. she has her first ultrasound this friday. hopefully nothing wrong, and there's actually a baby in there and this hasn't been a chemical pregnancy.

my dad took away my games as punishment when i was a kid.

the M1 macbook air?

m1 is still a solid choice. i got the m2 air when it was released. i would have gotten the m1 model if it wasn't for the design. i had the 2011 macbook air, and 2015 macbook air. besides the second one being a 13 in vs 11 in, they are e x a c t l y the same and i wanted a new design for once.

the notch doesn't really bother me, and its great. i got what the internet considers the "Hell Config" (256GB ssd, 8GB of ram) and only ONCE did it slow down, because i was running a windows game (via Wine i think? i dunno) and had Firefox, Chrome, Slack, and some other apps open. but i didn't buy this to game anyway lol.

I think they plan to upgrade the macbook pros to the M2 this year.

I doubt it will affect the price of the Macbook airs at all, but the M1 Pro or whatevers might go down, which are faster than the M2.

but if you want a macbook at 1000ish dollars, the M2 Macbook Air is gonna be that for at least another 1 or 2. Otherwise you're looking at 1500+ for a Macbook Pro
