I always meant to regularly stream FF14 when I was getting into it, but I just feel it's one of those games that's super boring to watch someone else play lol.

There is a market for streaming mmo's.

Asmongold is a famous streamer who built his reputation on streaming world of warcraft. He has actually streamed ff14 too. But I think he has quit and gone back to WoW

I tried to play that game for three months and never managed to get past a realm reborn.

There's just so much stuff to do and take in.

It really makes me wonder onder what mmos are gonna be like when people get nerve gear or whatever. Gonna be a literal new life whenever you want it. >.>

that said, i think i read they're updating the graphics? i remmeber wow put it off for so long because people didn't want their characters to change.

Yeah, I think they said the graphics will be getting an upgrade when the next expansion releases? Not everything all at once, since there's a shit ton of stuff, but the major characters and areas at least should be touched up, and then they'll slowly go through all the clothing and weapons and NPCs and whatever.

Can't wait to see how everything looks.

Yeah, graphics update should be with the launch of 7.0, which likely won't be until early 2024.

I wonder when they'll drop support for the PS4 version

I'm almost done grinding botanist and miner to 80

Leveling alt jobs mostly, and doing 6.1 and on.
I'd do th Omicrons but I don't like non combat tribal quests.

i'm almost done getting crafting to 60. the last ten miles was rough.

I would recommend pairing the 180 item step with triple triad card farming from normal raids, I had to do eden 12 like 15+ times before it dropped lol

I tried to play with TC and he's fun to play with, I just couldn't get into FF14.

There was a Lighting event once years ago where she appeared and you could do some quests to get unique weapons but they never brought it back.

They should be like WoW and have annual events. Maybe every famous FF character appears for 1 week, at different times of the year. But it repeats every year

It's pretty much the only thing I can bring myself to do for some reason. The idea of doing everything in the game is very appealing to me. But yeah it takes up a lot of time.

i did that twice with ffxiv and just burned myself out

first when i first started - i just went HAM. crafted, farmed MSQ, all sorts of shit. did nothing but that for weeks straight. then just kinda got bored.

few months passed, jumped back in. did the exact same thing. i was hooked again and couldnt stop. beat MSQ and got a bit into the next expansion, but had just fried myself.

havent been back yet

I'm on Hali which is with the new data center. It's dead but I wanted the Road to 80 bonus and the world transfer was free. I'm using a character I leveled up last time I played.

I'm likely gonna start playing again this weekend, as it's been a while.

FYI the highest tier of crafting and gathering equipment is going to be available next week after the patch, and those will be the last for those classes until the next expansion, so hold off on buying armor until then to save yourself money.
