Yeah I was surprised at how easy SteamOS was. Even gives you a heads up if there's anything like not being able to use the controller to get into the game.

Linux has come a long way. I'd be totally fine installing SteamOS on my desktop now. Biggest downside is lack of Game Pass.

Haven't had to deal with anything other than the Rockstar launcher yet though. I know EA and Ubisoft can be annoying.

Gabe is huge supporter of making gaming on Linux-based OS an easy and simple process.

I don't think it'll be a forced install, but then again Steam tends to do things like that so I dunno.

There are ways to avoid it. It's hard for me to ignore updates available in my library list, a weird mental issue that gets to me lol.

Yeah, imagine owning Lara Croft and Tomb Raider and just deciding to sell them off for nothing. Those new games were successful last I checked, they just didn't sell every copy in the universe so they were weirdly called disappointing.

They're coming out with a next generation update that should make the game more fun.

I will never forgive Far Harbor for how they handled The Mariner quest line.

I only lasted a week before uninstalling.
It's worse than OW1 in nearly every way and the greed was off the charts.

The only one I take issue with is Neverwinter Nights. The main campaign for that was god awful and it was only carried by its multiplayer component.

I don't doubt it but even if so that doesn't excuse all the actual "allies" and members of the LGBTQ+ community openly supporting, cheering and partaking in these harassment campaigns.

GamingCircleJerk legit needs to be shut down but it won't be because if you're on their side of things you're allowed to freely harass and dox anyone seen as "the enemy". It's literally a hate sub and a hub for launching harassment and bullying campaigns now.

Also a little reminder, the moderator on that sub that started the whole ban on Hogwart's Legacy shit was exposed for supporting the World Cup in Qatar because they were a soccer fan while at the same time chastising people that buying the game would directly support Anti-Trans groups.

It makes sense, guess we're just gonna ignore how most of that pic is them assuring people the game still has a lot of side content to do. Seems like they want it all to at least loosely tie into the main story or world of the game. Blitzball is a Spira thing anyway, has no place in XVI.

People saying he's wrong need to understand the period of time he's talking about. It was mostly during the PS3/360 era where western media and even western developers were openly antagonistic towards games from Japan. You had that moron Phil Fish openly insult Japanese games saying "they all sucked" in the face of a developer from Japan that asked him a question, the entire room laughing at his answer. You had western games media openly bashing anything from Japan, especially RPGs that came from Japan. You had developers like Bioware talking about how Japanese games were relics and didn't evolve.

There was a ton of Anti-Japanese game sentiment around that time and anyone who denies is wasn't old enough to realize it or is just ignorant. Some of it still lingers to this day so yes, Yoshida's comments made perfect sense and he even recognizes that the term is much more positive nowadays. He was merely explaining why some Japanese developers don't care for the term much.
