Although it helps that most games I play aren't AAA graphics hogs.

If someone is robbing an old lady on the street, and in the middle of it someone else came to rob the same money from the old lady, do you think they would both automatically work together? No, they would fight over who get to steal from the old lady. Same thing with a lot of unions.

The only experience I have with any union was negative and they were definitely of the scam variant.

I have had two experiences, both were negative. One was my mom working for a textile factory where she was BARELY making above minimum wage, and when she had to file for workers comp the union put all sorts of roadblocks in the way. Comparatively, the company was fine with it. Then about 6 months after she stopped working there the company ended up shutting down.

The other one was the teachers union at my high school that was so corrupt the head of the union was making 5X what all of the other teachers were making. Ended up she just pocketed all the money slated for teacher's raises and was giving out 2% raises to everyone else.

Unions are good in theory, but in practice they really just end up being another corporation that is bleeding you dry. Honestly better to just force regulation on salaries and work conditions through something like OSHA.

There have been stories about this, there are essentially 3 iterations of Hot Topic throughout time. The current one is basically the "Fortnite" and anime crowd. When I was a teenager it was just a goth store.

Spencers used to be a family store when I was a kid. I remember going in there and picking up a Ren & Stimpy poster when I was like 9, and we always used to browse it every time we went to the mall.

Eh, if the shipping times (and prices) on stuff weren't crap I would probably do all my shopping online. I don't want to wait 2-3 days or spend twice the price of my items to get food delivered to my door.

Nah, I am like 3rd generation don't give a shit. I think my great grandfather was a Nontheist Quaker, but when you look up their religious philosophy it is basically "Believe whatever you want".

Oddly enough, I have an uncle who goes to church on Sundays, but I think that is more looking for a group to belong to rather than any religious significance.

Me: No thanks, I would prefer to work for a company that has a chance of existing in the next 3-5 years.

Oh I am fairly confident they exist, I just don't think there is any chance of them making off the launch pad at this point.

Brainwashing is kind of misunderstood. Some people are absolutely "buying into" it, but most of the time it is people who don't buy into it, but think that opposition to it is fruitless and therefore just accept it. You don't combat brainwashing by disproving it, you combat it by showing that there is a believable possibility to fight against it.

I have only played 1 and half of 2.

Of those, 2 > 1, but I like the gameplay of 1 more. I just wish it had better missions and maps.
