We so badly need that Darkwing Duck movie now It wasn't really a Rescue Rangers movie. It was Roger Rabbit Lite. It's not bad for what it is, but a film about "the actors who played the Rescue Rangers" did nothing to invoke nostalgia from me. |

You can assign any arbitrary age you like to a character. They're detectives. They drive a van. They've been shown to drink alcohol in public establishments where it would be illegal to serve minors. They live and travel without parental supervision. They're functional independent adults. And they're illustrated accordingly. Don't come in here pretending somebody's crushing on a Rugrat because this is nothing like that. |

A lot of the time, merchandising features not-quite-final character designs because merchandising takes several months to reach the shelves. Elsa looked weird in the Frozen merch. The tyrannosaurus from Jurassic Park was brown instead of green. The robot and dragon creature from Green Lantern were completely different. Lola Bunny had breasts in the merchandising, but not Space Jam 2. (Grumble, grumble.) I bet that, when the movie finally appears in theaters, Mario will be ever so slightly tweaked. |

There's both a sexism factor and an age assumption factor into that. One pharmacist was a woman in her 40s. The other was a woman of about 30 who looked a good 5 to 7 years younger than she was. |
