Has a reputation for being a really nice man, a furniture salesman for since like the 80s, helps the community, silly ads and promos, all this shit. I know how you feel man. Shit, a lot of us have been like that before. No one wants to look stupid. But you can't help how you feel, so try not to beat yourself up. I'm in the same struggle too, frankly. I'm trying to manage. Frankly, it's keeping me from earning a decent living, this type of anxiety and dread. So, just wanted you to know you're not alone, but we can only do our best, try again another time, maybe we get it right next time. Hang in there man, try not to beat yourself up.

I always enjoyed this game.

I provoked someone into rage against me. I was getting into a lane and apparently I didn't see this guy, and he had to stop short to avoid hitting me. Well, it wasn't enough for him that we didn't crash. He starts tailgating me, and driving up on the side, both windows down, and he kept saying, "Hey ASSHOLE!...Hey ASSHOLE!"
Roadrage is bad around here, so I didn't even look at him, I just put my gps to a police station, and I was about to call 911, 'cause honestly, this guy just couldn't leave well enough alone. Like what the fuck could I do for him now anyways. But, fortunately, he finally turned away, and I went home.
But I gotta say, I felt very naked without my gun. I have a license to carry, but I was just picking up groceries. :/

You're talking about a confession. I'm talking about incontrovertible proof in the form of footage. The death penalty should only be reserved for such cases.

Scout camp when I was 8. We were sleeping in cabins with bunk beds and concrete floors. First night I went to sleep after telling stories around the camp fire in the top bunk. Woke up the next morning in the bottom bunk with no idea how I got there. Turns out I fell out of the bunk, and landed on the floor which woke up everyone but me. They wouldn't let me sleep in the top bunk for the rest of the trip.

"HOUSTON, Texas Punishment has been decided for the man found guilty of capital murder in the shooting death of Harris County Sheriffs Deputy Sandeep Dhaliwal. Robert Solis has been sentenced to death.

His recent conviction came more than three years after he was first arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of Deputy Dhaliwal during a routine traffic stop.

After firing his attorneys, Solis decided to represent himself in court.
It did not turn out well.

During his opening statement, he proclaimed his innocence, calling the states case against him insufficient.

I stand before you an innocent man until you all go back there and deliberate and determine whether or not the state has met its burden and whether I intentionally and knowingly, a conscious objective, shot this deputy, Solis told the jurors.

To prove their case against Solis, Harris County prosecutors presented their most powerful and heartbreaking evidence.

They showed the jury the actual video from Deputy Dhaliwals body cam showing the September 2019 cold-blooded murder.

The video shows Solis jumping out of his car, running up to Dhaliwals patrol car in the middle of the traffic stop, ordering him to put his hands up and not to move. It then shows Solis shoot the deputy in the head at point-blank range.

After the video was played, members of the jury and members of deputy Dhaliwals family were seen weeping in their seats.

Following that, Solis asked the judge to render a summary judgment on the case, acquitting him of the crime. Solis claimed the state had failed to make an adequate case against him for capital murder.

That didnt work.

Hours later, Solis asked that the judge in the case to recuse himself and quit the trial entirely.

Solis continued to deny that he killed the deputy in cold blood, describing the deadly shooting as an unfortunate situation.

It happened. I cant change it. Was that my intent? My objective? Absolutely not, he said.
He also challenged the judge to sentence him to death.

So many things make this one of the best docs of all times. The biggest thing is that it followed a killer who wanted to be followed, asked to be followed, and got caught red-handed, and convicted because of this documentary, when THE SAME GUY already beat a murder charge in Galveston. A filmmaker busted Robert Durst. Crazy.

A simple one for me this time.

My first job was in a bar. And I was 12 years old. My mom was a bartender at a honky tonk. She was cool with the owner. And so I got my first paying gig as a bar-back, which is basically somebody who just helps the bartender out, restocking things, cutting lemons and limes, making sugar water, rotating glasses, doing dishes, shit like that. I got $20 a night. It was pretty cool.

I wouldn't say she's flirting with you; however, if you like her like that, I would say that this conversation is a grand window of opportunity for you to get in thar.

I feel for them. I got that shit. And it did suck. I was worried I might end up with long term one, but didn't, not yet anyways.

Let's see. Give you something more exciting this time. Going to tell you about my first near-death experience.

Summer, 17 years old. I was hanging with this chick and a whole bunch of friends. She wasn't my girlfriend, Becky, but she was a good friend. And she was on this rehab kick. Her group was goin to the beach, for you know a good time without drugs or some shit.

It was wild. Her and all of our friends met up with this gang of rehab folks. They seemed pretty cool, people our age. And we had this big caravan drive down to the beach.

Just a little after we got there, we start swimming. I went in shirt off, pants on. Now, some of my friends were saying that out in the distance in the water was something known as a "sand bar" where if you swam out far enough you could actually stand up on it...

So yeah, I believed that shit, and they did too, and a big handful of others because about twelve of us started swimming out there, on faith of finding the elusive sand bar.

Well, as you can imagine, there wasn't one. People started turning around and swimming back. Only, for a couple of us, we already swam out REALLY far, and now it was beginning to become too difficult to get back!

I was out very far. The shore looked very far away. I could not touch the ground underneath with my toes at all. And for every stroke I went forward, that mother fucking current would relentlessly pull me back by at least two strokes, and I began to add this all up quickly in my head.

And that's when it happened. The mortal fear of death overwhelmed my body, my mind, my spirit. I truly thought I was about to die right there from drowning because I didn't have enough strength to swim back.

I never truly understood the expression having your life flash before your eyes until that day, but now I know, because that's exactly what happened. When you truly think you're going to die, and you have a brief moment to think about it, you actually stop worrying, give up, and you can see your whole life at one time, like the whole thing in snow globe, or 3D picture, everything. If you could keep that kind of memory all the time you'd be the smartest person alive.

So, as all this was happening, I decided I'd give one last chance. I screamed out for help. My friends were to far away to do anything, but they did say, "TRY STANDING UP!"

I did, and by God, my big toe barely touched a little bit of the ground bellow, but that was enough to relight my spirit on fire, and I made another mad dash attempt to get to shore. And holy shit I made it.

I got up on shore, went down the beach a little, and passed out.
