Brer Rabbit is a way better cartoon rabbit than Bugs Bunny. I agree with this decision. The Princess and the Frog is going to be an improvement -- especially since children have actually seen Tiana's movie. But I will miss the briar patch. |

Even Night of the Living Dead referred to reanimated corpses as their proper term: ghouls. I'm surprised to see such an emotional response over a bad adaptation though. |

| FortuneCookie 01/21/23 11:12:17 PM #1 | To me, Scooby Doo is like animated comfort food. It's always been there. It's okay. I kinda like it. I take it for granted. I'm not a huge fan of it. I could easily see others liking it more than I do. But I'm having trouble seeing why people are this upset about HBO's Velma. Does Scooby Doo really have this huge fan base of emotionally connected fans that go all in? Are they just more quiet about it than fans of Schreck, Frozen, and My Little Pony? Or are they grabbing pitchforks and torches because someone made a woke show where everyone gets a race change and/or orientation change? I understand getting annoyed at virtue signaling or a show making changes for the sake of making changes. But it seems like the vehement response is disproportionate to the emotional connection which I expected Scooby Doo to have with people. When I get mad about Disney Star Wars, it's because Star Wars was my childhood. If I'd been able to see into the future, I'd have spent those years reading classical literature instead. I just can't see someone saying, "Scooby Doo was my childhood." I can't imagine a bad Scooby Doo adaptation being a proverbial arrow to the heart that Disney Star Wars is for me and thousands of others -- especially since it's guaranteed that there will be yet another independent Scooby Doo adaptation within the next two years or so. |

If your attitude is "We're not winning this war, I'm winning this war," you're not going to win. And we need to win. The people who would fall prey to the worst of the Republican party need us to win. |

| FortuneCookie 01/21/23 2:39:40 PM #4 | Despite it's thrashing by the Angry Video Game Nerd, I think the NES Godzilla does a good job of capturing the feel of what it's like to be an overpowered giant monster. Tanks, jets, and flying saucers do little to hurt Godzilla or Mothra and will explode on contact with one of the monsters. There are boss fights and red rings of doom, so it's not like the player is never in danger. Other than that, you're pretty much steamrolling through the game. |

That is why these substances are called controlled substances. If your patient needs the medication, the prescriber needs to write a prescription. If your patient needs the medication a certain way, the prescriber needs to write it to specification. Politely bypassing the necessary steps is what can cost people like me their license, their job, or even their privilege to see life beyond the bars of a cell door. <_< |
