But the bigger blunder is the climbing stamina/rain making you slide when climbing. Broken as FUCK and ruins BOTW.

Then fuse your spear with a rock and itll be less breakable. Or a log or a tree or a sword or a bomb or..

the point is they made weapons in TOTK super interesting thanks to Fuse and complaining that they break (which is what enables this system to work from a design standpoint, makes you have to engage with it) is ridiculous.

Sorry I got ahead of myself. There are things in TOTK that will extend the joy gamers had for BOTW for sure. I was moreso laughing at the responses I was getting from people not reading the context and thinking it was some melt down when really I was just poking fun at the trailer from today. The long rumor was TOTK wouldnt introduce anything new and thats mostly true from what we saw today. Its a bit of a let down for Zelda fans that wanted something new.

Sure, as long as you ignore that its got huge new mechanics that change the entire way you approach the world and a bunch of new areas and the old areas are also new. Besides those things, nothing new at all.

This looks like a $70 DLC expansion pack to BotW on a mid, outdated console that struggles to run Pokmon at a stable framerate

There's PLENTY of excellent games this year already and more coming soon so this snoreburger will be easy to ignore

I love the weapon durability complaint because its just people telling on themselves that they dont actually understand game design or think critically about design choices and why they work.

TOTK has introduced further very cool mechanics that really only work with weapon durability, and yet everyone is still complaining because they dont understand that.
