Looking it up, this comment is right. Both studies used self-reporting but were included in the meta-analysis anyway. Real shoddy work.

Studies based on self-report were excluded from the meta-analysis:

Of the remaining 172 papers, 97 were further excluded as they either did not report penis measurements (n=63), reported measurements after major pelvic surgeries (n=12), or reported self-measurements (n=22).

Makes sense, self-report would be wildly unreliable on this subject.

That said I can imagine there's still a selection bias. The conclusion might as well be "small dick-havers have become more shy and less likely to have their dicklet measured by a scientist compared to 30yrs ago".

One kid in my high school was held back a class because of WoW. He used to be a good student but just gave up on everything else when he got into that game. When he would show up he'd just be tired and barely mentally there, because he was just gaming all night instead of sleeping.

Then when I got into Ragnarok Online I had a guild member who was regularly clocking in 60 hours of active online time per week. I didn't know much about him irl but I can't imagine school life was going great at that time.

I don't disagree that the prices are high, but my point is Twitter will probably make more money from a few companies like Amazon shelling out for access to the data than they would charging a rate small businesses could afford. Why try to convince and support 100 companies to pay $25/mo when you can convince 1 company to pay $2500/mo? It's not like those large companies are going to stop scraping twitter for their ML models.

Those large companies are already paying for their large scale API access.

Twitter currently allows a small number of requests, up to 7 days in the past, for free. That's what's going away with this change. This change has nothing to do with heavy users like Amazon

It's the Adobe or Microsoft model. The price point is entirely for enterprise customers. They know regular folks are priced out, but Amazon won't even blink at that cost given the value of the data they can extract from Twitter.

$0.25 per request is absolutely insane. Plenty of companies smaller than Amazon use this api.

Already unsubbed two months ago when this stuff was announced. Used to share it only with my parents and siblings but across different households.

Instead I've set up a Jellyfin server and installed the clients for my family members. No more dealing with your favorite shows disappearing, price hikes or anti-piracy measures that annoy the paying customers.
