It's more then silly. Several of the before chapter pictures and the cover art of Prisoner of Azkaban depict Hermione as Caucasian.

This never happened. People are just making up shit to throw at Rowling.

Diamond and Pearl has 8 of the things and although some (like Fly and Defog) are technically optional, you need the other 6 to get to the Pokemon League.

I think like a little over half the region's Pokedex are Gen 1.
