There really isnt an endgame in sight thats palatable either, so its a shitty situation all around thanks to Putin.This is one of those areas where my country would be better off without the EU since we dont rely that much on Russian energy (we actually produce a surplus ourselves) but being tied to the shared EU energy market fucks us over. Im cutting down on leisure expenses greatly but just going to the grocery store is such a money drain now. Certain regular items like frozen chicken have increased closer to 100% in price over the past year. Thinking back to 8 years ago when I had a much lower salary but still got more for my money than now. Those parties won the election. Its January 1st in 31 hours and no cost protection is in place. Especially economic ones like relief to households and businesses for high electricity costs. And economic betrayals tend to stick in peoples memories. The Conservatives, Nationalists, Christian Democrats and Liberals have 176 seats vs 173 for the Socialdemocrats, Far-Left, Neoliberals and Greens. The side effect of abnormal dreams is in full swing though I dream very vivid and realistic dreams, often about people I know. The dreams are in colour. The other night I dreamt I was gonna have surgery for something and the catheter was poorly attached so I peed myself on the operating table. But environmental issues are not a part of the so called Tid Agreement so I assume that PM Ulf Kristersson had those issues in mind when he talked about working with the Socialdemocrats on certain issues. What that means will be clarified in time. The Conservatives, Nationalists, Liberals and Christian Democrats say they support the Conservative leader. They have 176 MPs. The Socialdemocrats, Greens, Neoliberals and Far-Left say they support the SocDem leader. They have 173 MPs. The SocDems, Nationalists and Greens gained seats while the other 5 parties lost seats. The Conservatives lost their traditional position as 2nd largest party to the Nationalists but only the Nationalists would support their leader for PM. So the previous Government, a Socialdemocratic minority Government, remain as Transitional Government in the meantime. But a TG is greatly restricted in what it can do. So it is a bad situation considering the war not far from here. The Conservatives need both the Libs and the Nationalists and that seems to be where the problem is. | BalanceLost 10/02/22 10:23:19 AM #1 | Our new Government is not yet in place but it will be a Right-wing Government heavily dependent on the nationalist Sverigedemokraterna (SD) which was founded in 1988 by a literal Nazi (Gustaf Ekstrm was an SS-officer). SD will most likely not hold minister positions but they are given Chair position of 8 of our 16 committees in Riksdagen including The Committee of Foreign Affairs. There are ties between SD members and Moscow so the Biden admin might stop sharing important intel with our new Government. Sure, living in Stockholm is much more expensive than the other Regions but it still is too high a difference and it keeps growing. The Nationalist party did extremely well in the poorer Regions this election.
