Huh, I kinda thought this one would be a tighter race. Tbh Jimbo's a 3rd-string bully after Nelson and Kearney.

I was expecting a tight match with Luann winning, because while neither is a top tier character, Jimbo has a lot less funny moments. Hes mostly there as a threat to Bart in the earlier episodes.

I kinda view it as Jimbo being the leader of himself, Dolph and Kearney, while Nelson is sort of his own entity that occasionally crosses lathes with the other bullies. Like an independent contractor.

I was too young to understand FF1 when it first came out. Went back and beat it on NES when I was in junior high. My brother wanted to try and beat it too, so he and a friend started to play it. They got to Chaos and beat him in one round by casting quake. Which has something like a 1 in 200 chance of being successful.

Use quotes in your searches. It makes it so specific words are lumped together in sequence. Such as:

I just checked their website. They have a ridiculous amount of beers (107) for one brewery, and a lot of them are dessert themed. But I cant seem to find Untitled Art on their page:

I worked at a grocery store for a bit in high school and had to get carts. So long as the carts are in the vicinity of the drop off areas, it wasnt a big deal. It was just a pain when Id need to walk like 200+ feet away to get one cart.

That said, people should return their carts.

Depends on how soon humanity goes extinct. If it happened today, then sure. Earth wont be uninhabitable for another billion years. Dinosaurs went extinct about 65 million years ago, and humans have only been around for a few million years, and Homo sapiens for about 200,000 years.

So it definitely could happen again.

Fucking hated group projects, although I wouldnt say they killed school for me. I hated high school, but loved college. Group projects sucked in both settings, though.

I had a class during my senior year of college, where a group project was essentially our final, where wed research the material, write an essay on it, then present it to the class as part of a 30 minute presentation. Group of 5. Myself and 2 others were straight A student types. The other 2 guys were not. We decided to split the assignment into 5 parts, with each person tackling different sections of the material. We had like a month to work on it. During the last week, the 2 less dependable guys just decided to no show, leaving the missing 40% to the 3 of us. Fucking stupidity that we were held accountable for that.

relative to the PSX version, it's easier and significantly less grindy -- and this is a good thing. In the PSX version, you basically had to go into training battles inbetween most story battles (early on) because the level stat was a major factor in the damage equation. Now:

a) everyone in the battle gets the same exp at the end, so your slow knights and healers earn exp at the same rate as your rapid assassins

b) your max level is capped based on storyline progression anyways, so you cannot grind your way out of a difficult fight The people who both complain about capped levels making it too hard and the game being easy in the same breath are silly. Enemy level is roughly at the level cap anyways, they rarely have a significant advantage on you.

c) as a FFT vet, I've still needed to reset/restart about 20% of the storyline battles and try out different team comps or strategies in order to win. It's still sufficiently difficult.

Highly recommend the game. If you like FFT, you'll like this. the degree of unit customization isn't the same (no secondary/R/S/M from cross training), but because your squad is 8-12 people you now customize your composition more. As the Father of FFT, you see a lot of parallels in terms of plotline, characters (Ramza/Alma/Delita vs Denam/Cachua/Vyce), etc.

Branching story paths and a 100-floor postgame "deep dungeon" so there is replay value and postgame content galore.

I notably say this as one who did not play the PSP version. Those two are probably a touch too close, but if you've never played it before (or done only PSX) -- yes yes yes.

Thanks, I very much appreciate the input. I figured that the Amazon reviews were leaving out a good chunk of info as to just what exactly made it a downgrade/dumbing down. Sounds like its purest stuff, which is fine - but people need to also be tolerant of the improvements.

If 30% of the game sucks, it will dampen my thoughts on the first 70%.

While not entirely the same, I think Final Fantasy 8 is like an 8/10 or 9/10 on disc 1. Then the game falls off a cliff after that, getting worse as it goes along. The first disc of the game does not entice me to go back and play it at all I have a negative view on the game as a whole.

No kidding? I'm a Worms fanatic, put thousands of hours into Armageddon over the years. I have WMD on Switch but haven't played it yet, played a ton on Xbox when it released.

Hell yeah, Worms is great.

Back in college, we played a lot of Armageddon. These days, were located across the country, so WMD is a good game to keep the fun going. And since you basically have like 30 seconds for your turn and then 90-120 seconds of downtime, we can all eat dinner while playing it too. Its super convenient in that way, where we can play it in the evening.
