Eh I said I was considering it. Han had a line of thoughts near the day I struggled to follow the town equity in and also frustrated me a decent bit but I also thought Han was probably town before too so it's not like I was dead set on anything.

I will admit when day 2 ended I was considering gunning pretty hard early today too, but Han is town and everyone should unvote him.

I was about to say it was suspicious how many people jumped off of JC without him from so little but apparently we were only three votes.

No, I'm saying that you claiming that didn't suddenly revert evetything else you have done. I did not say I absolutely have to stay there or anything like that, just that I don't immediately unvote a suspect the darn moment they say they moved. I'm not sure I want your full claim either, still not entirely sure what to make of Ben and I doubt you're both scum so that's relevant.

Why should I not be exactly? Because he said he moved? I thought he said a bit too desparetely and I don't start thinking someone that I thought looked the worst is town just because they said they moved, in a game with two dead roles that don't move and two more claimed vanillas even.

I feel like Ben is being misrepresented a bit.

I didn't read it as if Ben was particularly interested in having JC claim, just that he had a preferred order if it came to it.

I also don't think Ben was satisfied with the power claim or content to hold because he got that in particular. Just that it wasn't the reason he would like to claim last. And Ben's posts ways read as if he preferred not to. (Well other than the one he claimed in, but he was pressured at that point).

Well obviously. But Han came with several arguments as to why Ben was not be town and the last thing he said about him was that sniff test said it was BS before going for other options. I'm not taking a stance on Ben, or Dumey or anyone but Han here. I'm questioning the town motive at arriving at such a conclusion this late in the day and then not just want to finish it.

I haven't even gone after Ben, Han, I'm questioning YOUR play.

Yeah god forbit we get things done in reasonable time for a change with late rushes and pushes having not bit us almost every game in events such as killing doctors all the time.

Sarcasm aside, if you think Ben is making a BS claim you kill him now instead of going for something that most likely just puts unnecessary info on the table, especially if you want to lynch Ben in the end anyways.

Well Ben said he was a page behind right after claiming.

I will say I don't believe Isquen could have had any powers unlocked.

SBell's flip heavily indicates a scanner (doesn't guarantee of course, but yeah) that would make a star spirit finder incredibly redundant. Like, would there be any benefit to Ben finding them? It seems very niche that only might catch scum in some fake claim (but never after claiming).

It fits Ben's comments about Isquen's flip early in the day too.

Why'd you claim something right away, JC, you should've known it wasn't necessarily why Ben could want it?

Setting Ulti's fiery desires aside for Sultan himself, his recaps do make me wonder... that maybe Lea was also killed because they wanted to show that the lynch was 3 ways down to town?

Ben, your answer as to why you went from thinking there was scum in Peaf/Dumey to thinking both were town was not very great since you basically just said you changed your mind. Can you elaborate on what made you move there again?

Dumey, I didn't take a shot at you because of Lea's suspicion. I actually said I didn't think there was much value into looking her into her death and was called out for supposedly defending you a lot because of it. What I said was that I agreed with her points.

I didn't think of it as being able to kill more than 1. In Nick mafia which I helped Sultan host scum had a similar mechanic to what he is describing but it would only kill one of the people if more targeted (either first or last to send in action I think). I don't want to speculate further about this today though because while it's possible, it doesn't chance the stance of the game.

No way town Peaf was their best choice for a kill when he had claimed vanilla.

It was great yeah, bit anticlimactic finish but overall great.

Strogly disagree it would have to be third party to be balanced.

For what it's worth, Ulti trying to dictate scans is not a first and Cody being a good scan target is not exactly a unique view but yeah.

Also Peaf, it's almost impossible for Cody to be lying about any of this, so assuming he is indeed town vanilla is the way to go.

Here's some thoughts that focuses less on townclearing and more on where to put pressure.

JC looks bad after the end of yesterday and I've also been unimpressed by his defense of it today. I don't think it needs much defense at all and he's seemingly been much more occupied in trying to explain this than actually scumhunt. The defense is also mostly just throwing wifom arguments around which themselves point out that there's not much to really take in. I find JC to usually be quite analytic and while I get that there might be some irl things preventing this to some extent, I still haven't appreciated what I've seen while he was here.

Other acceptable routes imo;

I believe I've already gone over Dumey but it's possible.

Sultan should still be on the table but SBell's flip puts him in a better spot than yesterday. I think his worst look is that he twice on day 1 reacted to a post from Isquen he had already read, the second time without even realizing it himself and that makes it feel forced.

Death has done a lot of analysis and reread a lot and it usually just ends in saying how people look based on that. For someone that posts a lot he has very little presence. This is not entirely out of how he plays regardless of alignment mind you, but it feels closer to scumDeath, in particular a lot like the scum Death I was on a team with recently. It's a lot of content that drives nothing anywhere and I think town Death drives it more.

Ulti is a bit hard to determine because he has been here very little. I wont judge the inactivity at all but I have not been a big fan of his content while he was here. I have never played with scum Ulti I'm pretty sure but I have usually had an easy time townclearing him and I haven't felt anything in that direction at all. Ulti sounding like every read is a lock is nothing new but trying to lock the whole game within a topic (despite not nearly being caught ups) irks me the wrong way. Most of his reads feel too easy and unlinked. Mostly if Cody being burned implicates anyone I think it's someone that thought Cody was an obvious scan target. We'll see what happens if Ulti manages to be fully caught up.

Ben has not contributed enough for me to lean either way, but I'll like more explanations of what he thinks. Gut says been is not scum though because I don't think he would townclear nobody, but Ben confuses me all the time in early game.

Did Han ever explain why JC should know he's town or whatever that was?

On a side note, call me crazy here, but JC's reasoning sounds a little too contrived to be scum cleaning up their own mess. I get the feeling we're barking up the wrong tree there.

Is there any merit to claiming role without flavor?

Anyway my best guess is that scum thought you would indeed be scanned which would mean they couldn't lynch you.

I don't think we're disagreeing as much as speaking past each other. I read it as if you said she had given no reason at all. If you meant she could have clarified or given more or been more information then sure, I agree.

I didn't mispresent anything. You claimed she said nothing and I pointed something she said. I also mentioned that it was possible scum shot Lea to set you up as an argument to disregard thinking like that so not sure why you unclude that part.

Well there's going to be an answer eventually, Ben comes back around and asks.

You'll also later find I wasn't around for the uhh 14+ final hours of the day and that it was never the plan to not come back and vote. I also don't think you can find many days I have ever played where I have more than one vote down, at least not much more, and they're usually very late in the day. Pointing this out because Ulti just went and checked the only game I rolled scum in since coming back here. But yeah maybe get the full picture before drawing conclusions.

Other than that, going through everyone interactions with SBell is very nice, Death. (sounds sarcastic perhaps, it is not). But are there any thoughts and conclusions coming after those summary posts?

Going over Death's post, this part is completely incorrect, or am I missing something? Was this when both Kirby, Isquen and Hb had their catch up posts attacked for what I thought was opposing reasons and I called that into question? Because I'm pretty sure he was just answering why he thought those were bad and not saying I was spouting nonsense.

Lea spent so little time explaining why Dumey was scum that he failed to even catch her reasoning himself actually. Her presense wasn't too strong, but she had interactions elsewhere, most notably attacking Kirby at the same time as you.

My point is just that I feel like any scumteam would realize that so if a team with Dumey shot Lea they decided it was worth risking such accusations.

There are two many ifs and maybes in trying to speculate that way about a kill on someone unclaimed. Almost every single game here since I came back (maybe even all) scum lynches have not been based on accuracy of reads. Everyone knows a good player will eventually adapt even if they're off day 1. But if you want to assume there was another reason, then it as well have been trying to frame someone by making them look bad through the kill and you know that. So that wasn't a hardcore defense of Dumey at all, I described why I thought he looked the worst at the end of day 1 literally right before that post even.

Hey Ben, you said Dumey/Peaf likely had scum in them yesterday. So if you agree Peaf is town now should you not be after Dumey now?

No it isn't.

I reread end of day 1 and it didn't really give me anything additional knowing Lea and SBell's alignments.

But I will say it's quite unlikely both Sultan and Han are scum given how hard SBell defended both, but not ruling out one of them being at all.

Perhaps it would be risky, JC already highlighted the wifom in his unusually defensive posts. Might have just as well made JC look good for not contributing to a mislynch, which might have not happened before much later since if neither Isquen nor you are lynched, it's not commonly accepted as town/town.
