My last laptop was SSD because of 3 hard drive crashes in 10 years. The last laptop fell off my bed and broke into pieces but the SSD survived. Had the screen repaired but even without the screen I was able to use an HDMI cable to connect it to a TV to use it as a monitor.

I guess the closest is a musician I follow on Youtube worked at the supermarket I worked at and I saw him a few times. Didn't realize he worked in a different department until a friend told me he livestreamed it before. I'm friends with the musician on Facebook but I never really talked to him, so I just posted on my wall that I saw this musician since a few of my friends were also friends with him.

Used to be about 20 miles, but I moved last weekend so now it's 2000 miles.

I went to plenty of midnight releases at Nintendo World Store/Nintendo NY. I think the worst one was Pokemon XY release. I got in line at 5:30 pm for an event in Rockefeller Plaza that was supposed to go from 8 pm to midnight. The waiting line was featured in one of the anime specials, but it snaked down from 48th Street, around the corner up 6th, and around the corner going up 49th to circle the store. I didn't get to participate in the activities until nearly 11 pm (got my game by that point), but since I was dorming in a college in Newark at the time I wasn't going to get back home and walk back to my room past midnight so I was only able to stay for a few minutes.

I've done midnight releases at the store for Smash 3DS, Pokemon SM, USUM, SwSh, BDSP, PLA, SV and probably others and I love going to them. We get free cool prizes like tote bags, posters, pens and notebooks, pins, etc. For the later launches Nintendo NY makes you sign up for a timeslot (only 2 times available, usually midnight and 1 am but if it's a morning launch then 9 am and 10 am) and you use your Nintendo account to prevent scalping reservations. The most popular time slots (midnight and 9 am) sell out in an instant. For SV I camped the reservation page and refreshed every second until it appeared and I was able to get the popular midnight timeslot, and somehow it sold out in less than 2 minutes.

I have other local friends I would meet up with and talk to sometimes at these midnight releases, the hard part is staying out in the cold weather so you have to bundle up. Most Pokemon games are in November, PLA was in January. I remember during E3 2018, Nintendo NY hosted a special demo for Smash Ultimate at 9 am but at that time I think it was still first come, first serve line, so I had to take a 7 am bus to get on line by 8 am. Luckily you usually don't need to camp in front of the store, especially since Nintendo NY doesn't allow you to line up until 1 hour before your time.

Just use the free streaming site that vt uses. I used it to watch 3rd fes and Suisei's concert, certainly they'll stream, 4th fes.

I met this artist at Bronycon Summer 2012. The artist is Lil Miss Rarity / Lil Miss Jay. He was a cool guy.

My options were

Pre-Calculus / Calculus 1 (depending on how you were able to finish your math track)
Language class (Spanish / French / Mandarin)
History
Phys Ed / Health (depending on the marking period)
An advanced science class (Physics/Chemistry/Biology, your choice but the normal classes were during the first 3 years)
English Literature
Lunch

I also took electives like band (Symphonic Band and marching band), AP Statistics (got a 2/5 on the exam) and since other electives didn't fit in my schedule I was given a free study period in the library where we got to chill on the computers. Our classes were 42 minutes long, 4 minutes between each class and 9 classes per day. I heard that a few years after I graduted, they turned the gymnasium into a lunch room where you eat (ewww all that dust) and they turned the classes into a rotation schedule per day.

AP = Advanced Placement, basically an honors level class where you can earn college credit if you pass the large test at the end of the year.

Calypso, soca, chutney and reggae. Yeah they're good but I don't listen to much music from those genre unless it's my parents playing them.

I can walk to like 2 dozen places in under 5 minutes, haircut, entertainment, food, fast food, etc. a half mile minimum to get to a few fast food places is not what people consider walkable

if the closest thing is a 15 minute walk (.5 mile) to the nearest bus station that you then have to spend some amount of time riding to your actual destination, your neighborhood is not walkable

Sure if I wanted to go to Manhattan, it's not walkable because it's not possible. But if I wanted to get a haircut? 15 minute walk. Wendy's? 20 minute walk. High school? Just up the street. Anything on the main street was a 20 minute walk, like McDonald's, the movies, lots of restaurants, Dunkin Donuts. The nearest bus station was in front of the high school but it goes a different route.

I moved into a town close to this (somewhere near Tampa) and I've also been thinking about that road ever since I read that article. The apartment complex I'm in is off of some kind of highway with like 6 lines per direction, it looks so dangerous and I couldn't imagine driving through it. I've walked across them in the past few days and you have to press a button to make the walk sign turn on and you have 60 seconds to cross the road (it takes 40 seconds to get from 1 side to the other).

The suburb I was living in until last week had:

20 minute walk to the NJ Transit bus to take me into Port Authority (and the last bus is at 1:30 am)
15 minute walk to the NJ Transit bus the opposite way to take me to Garden State Plaza
30 minute walk to the train station to take me to Secaucus Junction and Newark Penn
35 minute walk to the supermarket in the next town that I worked at (there's a closer one that was a 20 minute walk but I didn't like that supermarket)

Plus anything in between for restaurants, small shopping malls, and anything else I could want. Our house was directly in the middle of residential areas, in PoGo the map showed very few Poke Stops or gyms.

I don't want it pitch black at 4 pm in November. DST easily.

There's a lot of different fields within IT. Networking, Server, Database, CyberSecurity, etc. A lot of them don't overlap but so much outside of some basics. For instance, I do virtual server and storage admin stuff. I only have very basic network knowledge like DNS and subnets.

It seems like you want to get into IT but have no idea what field you want. I hate programming but I love infrastructure. You just need to do some research in different areas and figure out what interests you. You'll still probably need to cut your teeth doing helpdesk for a couple years if you aren't planing to do software development. That's just where everyone starts.

Yeah for the certificates my friends told me full stack or DevOps would be good for my field. I like web development and I like software development but I'm not sure which to choose, might go for the web development full stack.

That's what I told my parents but my dad was forcing me not to do that and just keep applying without trying something different. I have an idea for a website I wanted to make about my Youtube channel, had the idea for years now but I wish I was told earlier that I should have been making it for the portfolio instead of putting it off.

It can be very hard to get your foot in the door with IT even helpdesk sometimes. Are you still trying to get into game development/software development or moving into IT for now?

If IT, work on certs and learn the requirements you see in job descriptions like Active Directory(AD), basic networking/dns, and soft skills(person to person communication). Maybe some Cloud based stuff. Biggest thing is just proving you are self sufficient. Being able to work a problem by researching and learn things on your own.
If dev, keep working on improving your coding skills and build up a portfolio of examples. I'm not super familiar in this area so that's all I can give you.

I took the game development specialization because it was an easier CS without the math requirements, so I was hoping to stay somewhere in software development. I don't know much about networking, I took a few classes on it but I didn't study it much or I wasn't interested in it. Call centers might be hard, I can't talk as good as I used to. I did a Youtube episode review channel with a group of friends but sometime after that I've been thinking I got PTSD or trauma or something from a semester of college when I studied the most I've ever done for a class but still managed to fail and failed every other class because I didn't have time to study for them.

I'd go back to them to ask for more feedback, as it sounds like you aren't already. Worst case scenario, you get nothing, but they might be able to give you some tips. I'd imagine that if you've been applying for jobs for that long, the problem might be with your applications. Do you have someone else look over them before you send them out? It might be a good idea.

My parents tried to help apply for some jobs too but nothing's worked out yet.

What is your current role? If you havent been in IT in 3 years but are trying to get in, it can be very hard as there are tons of candidates that apply that do have current IT experience. As a recruiter, I will value experience more than a degree. The other issue might just be your resume. Ive seen so many terrible resumes.

I just stopped working at the local supermarket as the part time job in college but since I moved I couldn't work there anymore. My resume has been looked over dozens of times by college counselors, parents, peer reviewed by friends, it's as good as I can get it.

Nope. I graduated with IT specialization in Game Development and a minor in CS, trying to get a software development job but I've lowered my standards to IT help desks. Nothing yet, the emails always say I'm not a good enough fit and they've moved on to other candidates. I'm thinking I don't have enough qualifications so I might have to take a certification for DevOps or full stack. I just finished moving to a different state and I'm limited on funds so I'm hoping to get some kind of job this year but it hasn't been looking good so far.

The only interview offers I've ever had are those 2 year bootcamp non-compete offers like Revature or Dev10. Tried to do Dev10 last month but they ended up canceling all of their positions for my location.

You think so? I've been applying to IT jobs for the past 3 years with an IT degree and I've been getting rejected from every single job I've applied to, including the help desk ones.

I'm up. Usually I play handheld with a controller but I got an HDMI TV set up so I might use that.

I think MP7 was my first Mario Party and I loved it. Played hundreds of hours with my brother and a friend, we were an expert on the minigames after that. I played it again a few years ago with a different friend using the same memory card, our save file was from 2010 and I still remembered all the minigames and beat him. I also played a different Mario Party game with him, I think it was 6, maybe I won.

Also played Mario Party DS, 8 and probably a few more.
