This only works to a point. Youll get to a point where you cant move anymore, and still can freeze to death. Also any exposed skin with a bit of wind can get frostbite

March is still decisively winter in Alberta. April is a transition month but mostly also still winter.

It was -10C today but the sun is strong enough that snow melts on roads much easier than it does in January.

Its going to warm up according to the forecast, and by the middle of the month, above 0 temperatures. Wouldnt be surprised if this is the last bit of below 0 highs

The scariest part is we have not heard any signals, while we have been very noisy.

Maybe life as a whole hasnt been around long enough to have reached us. If we are the only civilization level life forms within the Milky Way. And the next closest Galaxy the Andromeda, the civilization would have be over 2.5 million years old for us to have received a signal. Humans havent been around that long yet, let alone at the tech that can send and recieve wireless signals. Took about 3.7 billion to get to this point, so life to get to the point of intelligence that can actually use and develop tools and civilization takes at least 1 billion years.

Aliens, there is like a 99% chamce aliens are out there, but like a .0001% chance they have been to earth. Heck, I would say there is less then a 1% chance any have left their own solar system.
And I would say most likely, there is only one, maybe two civilization level life forms per galaxy.
