Yeah, I've watched less and less GDQ runs recently with the online ones. It's more just a place to find rare or unique games that I may have never heard of or seen before. And occasionally pop in to watch a specific run of a favorite game or things like that. Been looking forward to this Outer Wilds run that's about to start. The game was great, and I can't wait to see how they absolutely destroy it.

Someone just got a new WR in the Super Mario Galaxy 2 Any% race.

If someone in the movie doesn't say "I need scissors!" and the number 61 doesn't have significance to the plot, I'm going to be very upset.

Met a girl online who lived in the UK maybe 6 or 7 years ago and we hit it off. Talked pretty much every day for few months. Including some...fun webcam sessions. ;-) She claimed I was the first person she ever sent a nude to. Don't know if I believed that, but it was nice to hear. And she was beautiful. Like WAY out of my league. Not even playing the same sport kind of out of my league. XD

We talked about making it "official" for a bit. I was willing to give it a chance, and she seemed to be as well, but the distance was rough. Her family went on a vacation together every year (parents, her, and a younger brother), and they were thinking of visiting the US that year, so there was some hope that she could convince her family to make a stop in my city, but I live in Cleveland and that's a pretty hard sell for a family vacation destination so it didn't work out. We slowly just sorta drifted apart after that. v_v

I hope she's doing well. That was a really great couple of months.

I've become obsessed with this game again after the Steam release. I put so many hours into it like 10+ years ago in the classic ASCii style. I've tried to find other games to scratch that itch again, but nothing has ever been able to capture this same feeling.

There's no such thing as auto-cook or auto-brew. The "automate kitchen" option under standing orders will ONLY automatically render fat into tallow. That's it. If you want them cooking meals, you have to manually assign the task (or set up a work order to assign the task).

....wut? The Stock menu is the only one I'm aware of that shows everything you possess in your fort. You can use the shortcut key 'k' to bring it up, but it's the same menu as clicking the button at the top. Where else are you finding that info? O_o

I kept trying to dig stairs between them to make a "hole" but I couldn't build the well on top and it looked like at the bottom where the water will go it wouldn't even build stairs there.

To put a hole in a floor, use the "channel" dig option (hotkeys: m -> u). It will remove the floor and create a ramp on the tile underneath. Having the ramp in the well is fine, btw, they can still fill up to 7/7 water and won't affect its operation at all. Then simply construct the well above the ramp on the open floor tile.

Funny thing is, you can see the latch on the door. It's not blocked at all. The door opens outward.

I legitimately wish more news channels would lean into personality bits to keep things more interesting. I would watch that weather report every single day just to see how this guy manages to complain about a beautiful summer day.

I hardly ever listen to music, so yeah. I usually have some AM talk radio on in my car. Mostly sports or NPR.

There's no reason to ask for a list like that unless you're planning to target them for something.

For those who don't know. It's funny because they are both pure garbage.

Baker took the Cleveland Browns to a divisional title game and was, in no uncertain terms, the biggest reason why. He's objectively not garbage.

He did, of course, immediately then get screwed over by the clusterfuck that is the Cleveland Browns franchise by not sitting him down when he was injured and letting him heal. But that's a different conversation entirely.

Yeah, but we usually keep it in the garage. It can also plug into a wall and be used as an overnight charger, which is what we usually use it for. It gets brought along any time someone goes on an extended road trip, though, like my weekends out of town for bowling tournaments. We just have jumper cables in the trunk of every car for emergency use.

Honestly there could be a few scenarios that would make sense.

Watching the cow nursing its baby calves, and recognizing that human babies are fed milk the same way, it wouldn't be hard to put 2 and 2 together that the cow probably has some kinda milk in there. And when thirst and hunger are serious issues in early "societies", that would be a handy bit of information to spread around.

I could also imagine an early hunter killing an animal like a cow and finding the udders and a pocket full of milk while butchering the carcass and thinking "hmm, it's making this really nutritious stuff, I bet if I kept one of these alive and fed, I could just keep taking the milk whenever I wanted it!"

For a split second my brain thought this was talking about the actual NFL player Lamar Jackson. I was like "oh ffs, what stupid thing did another pro athlete do now?"

Oh no, that was me making fun of the 'Force Scream' bullshit that was used to justify why Kit Fisto and co. went out like absolute chumps when they tried to arrest Palpatine.

Oh, yeah, I always just chalked that one up to poor choreography and troubles with filmmaking. There was originally supposed to be a longer fight scene, but they cut like 80% of it out. So the quick deaths were just a rushed "patch job" to skip over the part that was cut. In my headcannon they actually went out like badasses, Qui-gon-vs-Maul style.

But really, the idea of Palpatine use a powerful Sith version of the Jedi mind trick with the line "do it" makes a ton of sense. He tells Anakin to kill Dooku, but Anakin starts to refuse. Palpatine knows that this is the moment, and it has to happen now if he's ever going to turn Anakin. So Palpatine cuts him off with a command, and Anakin is too confused and conflicted to resist the influence.

This literally just happened to me for the first time ever like 3 days ago, WTF? O_o

I was sitting on the toilet and I went to reach back and grab something off the tank behind me. But I leaned a little too far backwards, which aimed me up and perfectly lined up straight through the crack between the seat and the lip of the bowl. Thankfully it was at home, but I had to change my sweats and my underwear. >_<

Literally never because I don't have thin skin. If I don't like what someone says, I just move on and don't engage with them. I still don't understand why that's not the standard procedure for everyone online. You don't have to reply if you think someone is saying something dumb. You can just click off and go read a different topic.

My aunt passed away from breast cancer in her early 30s. She was the best person I've ever known. Always kind, happy, and ready to help anybody that needed it with no questions asked. Even when she was fighting for her own life, she'd still go out of her way to check in and help others.

I really miss her. :-( Rest in peace, aunt Jackie. You're still loved, and never forgotten.
