It actually reminded me of a more absurdist Lake Mungo, complete with a similar gut punch ending. The web this movie weaves is unreal and the way it just keeps spiraling out of control left me absolutely bewildered at certain points, while at the same time just being this interesting two-hander character piece. Definitely thematically similar to all their past films - Benson & Moorhead's takes on the mundane slowly and steadily brushing into contact with the cosmic unknown continually gives me stuff to chew on constantly. --- I've decided to put my fears behind me.
