Theres a rate of diminishing returns where more spf doesnt really do anything for you beyond a certain point, but I forget the threshold. Google it
The SPF factor is basically the proportion less of UV you'll get from the Sun. SPF 30 blocks 96.7% of UVB light, so you can stay in the Sun 30 times as long as with no sunscreen. SPF 50 blocks 98% of UVB. SPF 100 blocks 99%.

It's also good to get one that blocks a higher proportion of UVA light too.

Its a red flag when i basically never hear anyone mention the gameplay. Like literally in this topic about if youve played a video game or not no one is mentioning the gameplay.
The gameplay's really good. I've heard complaints that it's basically not much different than the first game - maybe why it doesn't get talked about much - but the first one was near perfect, so no problems there.

Though I also thought the story was pretty unsatisfying, weirdly paced, anticlimactic etc, so it maybe almost makes it worse that the gameplay, graphics, sound etc were so good. Wasted potential for what it could have been with a better story.

What do you call it if you think that if everybody stopped wasting their time throwing around the same old tired polarising arguments which change nobodies minds, that if they all concentrated that energy instead on improving society in various ways (medical advancements, improving prosecution rates / prevention of rapists, furthering education on contraceptive use and invention of better ones or artificial wombs, improving socioeconomic equality, etc) then the vast majority of abortions could be prevented from ever having to happen in the first place? No forced births, much less killing of what's gonna be a baby. Win / win.

Seriously all this time wasted arguing on the internet is probably the reason we don't have flying cars yet.

It's not explicitly 'expression', but pretty much implied.

Hopefully. I saw in the last election the conservatives got 365 seats with like 14 million votes, but the liberal democrats only got 11 with nearly 4 million. It's like you're allowed to vote for the liberal democrats, but your vote will only count for 1/8th as much.

I get that with Kingdom Hearts, but not totally sure why. Maybe it's because when it came out, despite being fairly popular, no one I knew had heard of it and even local game stores weren't selling it so had to buy it online. So now it's cool when I find someone else who is into it, and they're typically nice people who like nice things.

372 kcal in 30 mins is like 10 METs, that's pretty good. You're not exactly gonna be able to maintain 20 for that long. Weight wise, you'd burn an extra 10 kcal per pound of muscle, so you'd need to gain like 8 pounds of muscle to increase your metabolism to match the effect of 1 hour's cardio per week. It's pretty effective for weight loss.

There's plenty ways to make cardio more fun. The gains killing thing is a myth. Running strengthens the knees and actually prevents arthritis. Keeps you in shape for running from all the pitbulls too.

It's kinda sad it's turned out that way. It seemed like a bit of a silver lining 2 years ago that, besides the anti-vaxers, most people actually seemed to care. But 15 million dead people later...

For the wedding, best just to stay sensible - vaccines, masks where appropriate, ventilated open spaces, clean hands etc.
With the variants, the current Omicron BA.2 is about on par in terms or severity with the original virus, but both less deadly than the delta variant. And vaccines obviously diminishing them all further.

Also, congratulations!

I really liked it, I'd maybe put it same level as Skyfall, below Casino Royale and above the other two.

The settings were great, Matera at the start, the forest chase in Norway, and I do enjoy a classic bog standard evil villain lair at the end - even if the villain could've been better utilised. I know it's a long film, but I wouldn't have minded if they added another half hour to expand that further.

Maybe controversially, I didn't like the bit in Cuba, just all of Spectre happened to be there at the same time? Blofeld's eyeball? And Ana de armas was just a ditzy dumbass who might as well have had superpowers, she didn't fit the vibe of the film at all.

I'm also surprised the ending wasn't more widely spoiled in 2020 when it was released for a couple of weeks.

Totally, I think the actual solution to abortion is for society to improve all round to the extent it's no longer (or extremely rarely) necessary.

I mean, forcing women to have babies, or otherwise killing the unborn babies, neither or those is a good option. If everyone saved their energy arguing about these and instead focused it on bettering education on contraception and risk, or inventing more effective types of contraception, continuing pre-natal medical advancements, improving law enforcement, and bettering socioeconomic equality, getting everyone out of poverty / UBI etc, we all could probably stop most would-be abortions from ever needing to take place. People would be better able to choose if and when they wanted children.

It would be interesting to see the difference in opinion between parents and non parents about what Joel did.
Seems obvious if someone's gonna kill his daughter, for any reason, he's gonna try and stop them, bearing any consequence. Especially after failing to save Sarah, and carrying that and hating everything for 20 years.
Also Ellie's like 14, he's obviously gonna lie and not tell her at the end, you can't drop the weight of something like that on a child.

Last of Us 2 is worth playing to see what happens I suppose. It's a high quality game, but the story is a different vibe. Some people love it, some hate it, to me it seems like fanfiction, I think most people from all sides probably agree it's not quite as good as the first one.

The earth being 6000 thing has always been a fringe belief, even among Christians. It's also a much more recent thing than Christianity itself.

But yeah, by the 1800s gelogic time scales were starting to be discovered, along with the discovery and taxonomy of various dinosaurs, with the Mesozoic, and Triassic, Jurassic etc being determined around 1840. Around then most estimates for the age of the earth were about 10 - 100 million years old, so dinosaur timescales were kinda just guesses.

As mentioned above, radioactivity was discovered in 1896, and the concept of half life in 1907. By the mid 1910s the determined age of the Earth had jumped to be at least 1.5 billion, and refined to 4.5 billion by the 1950s, with more accurate dinosaur timescales determined too.

And with the exercise bike, do both, go hard for a minute, then go fast for a minute, swap them up.

Actually, now's as good a time as any to get rid of the whole liberal / conservative split and find some 21st century cults to divide people instead. Imagine instead of having 'feminism is great' type liberals and 'feminism is not great' type conservatives, everyone instead spent that energy doing maths and stats to quantify and close gender pay gaps etc, and their arguments were all about the most accurate calculation methodologies or something.

Problem is how any other country who'd be able to stop it happening would manage to do that without the nuclear risk moving from very low to only kinda low.
