There have been numerous studies showing reflexes, muscle mass, bone density, propensity to not get injured, etc. all favor men and to a substantial degree. This is in addition to observable things like world records, sprint times, weight maxes, etc. This is not a debate, men at both peak and average are physically more capable than women.

Women's sports are kept segregated from men's sports not for men, but for women. Men would dominate each and every sport and women would be pushed to the side if they were unsegregated.

It decreases the likelihood of such a creation, yes. I literally give the reasoning for said belief in a part of my post you conveniently cut out. Let me post the whole thing again so you can give it another try.

Many writers and directors openly say that it was the lack of something that encouraged them to pursue what they did in film.

TheShadowViper posted...
I don't really agree that it is worth it. One of those black girls could be right now writing a tale about a black princess, a story that takes some elements from Little Mermaid and their own experience, but isn't The Little Mermaid.

This film has deprived the world of that story.

Often it is the lack of things that creates the incentive to create new things, and when that incentive is lost or bastardized, it becomes less likely to lead to quality change.

I'm a big believer in new characters over the altering of others to artificially fit a different mold. The important part is that the capacity and capability to tell these new stories exists and continues to exist regardless of race or any other dividing force.
Note that I'm not referring to characters like John Stewart (the best Green Lantern) or various versions of Spider-man because they are different characters with the same title.

What I find irritating is when they do what you are talking about for something completely obvious. Like when a character has two swords they go into a 5 scene of someone explaining the difference between him and a guy with only one sword (hint, it is the extra sword).

This question has a lot of variables that would need to be answered to give a more definite answer:

1) What missile defense does US have in the area?
2) What kind of missile is it, does it have some cluster component?
3) What interest does the US have in protecting said county?
4) What are the consequences for shooting down said missile from whoever fired it?
5) What is the cost, both in terms of money and revealing of our technology and its location, going to be?

...and many more.

Please this is more garbage from you. They can't tell the stories from the simarillion because they don't have the rights to it. That is the only reason. Not because they don't have characters to follow, how ridiculous.

And there is an incredibly easy story to tell should they take that route, simply follow the Noldor after Morgoth stole the Silmarillions. Hell, there are hundreds of places they could have started and made a story by following important individuals from literally anywhere from Minas Ithil to Erebor.

Don't give me this "history book" crap. Some of the best stories ever told were originally outlined as histories, including stories like A Song of Ice and Fire. The writers simply can't utilize these histories because they don't have the rights. This is not just a "twisting of the lore" it is straight up fan fiction.

There is little worse than a narrative that is not only not respecting the lore, but is actually bound to avoid it. They should not have made this show covering these events with what they have the rights to, period.

Galadriel is not fucking Aragorn, and no text supports what you are talking about, even if we ignore that this version of Galadriel is straight up not following Tolkien's Galadriel with basic shit like the person who she married in the 1st age isn't even there in the 2nd.

Galadriel is more akin to a "good" version of Sauron than this Eoywn/Aragorn remix garbage. I simply don't understand why they didn't make this character a new one given she is a completely different character than actual Galadriel.

Except a group of Elves (some of the most powerful to ever exist) literally murdered their kin to grab ships good enough to sail to ME. If what you are saying was true, they killed those people to save them some swimming. It is also one of the foundational moments in the entire mythos.

Elves have limitations too. And an ocean sounds like a pretty reasonable one.

TheShadowViper

First off, you say production quality like that isn't one of the most significant parts of animation...it is.

Just a few reasons:

1) The world is interesting. Simple concept, but demons and demon slayers will never be a concept that isn't fun.

2) 3 demon slayer protagonists are very different with their own things going on.

3) Art design is absolutely amazing.

4) Voice acting is great

5) Music and its implementation are well done.

6) More than one of the antagonists is quite well done with their powers and personalities well conveyed.

7) Choreography of the fight scenes is second to few if any.

8) The concept of the Hashiras, like the concept of the S class heroes in One Punch Man, offers stakes to the story as these characters are often very interesting and likable - but are in danger of being killed off.

It is simply one of the best animated and directed shows there is - animated or no. It is not anything as deep as say Attack on Titan or even that well written, but what it is trying to do it absolutely does better than pretty much anything else.

And I refuse to believe anyone can watch the concluding fight in the second season and not understand why the show is popular. Are you that dead inside?

This is nothing more than fan fiction. It isn't an adaption, it is completely made up by the two showrunners. They have already straight up admitted this (and in fact are contractually obligated to avoid it being accurate) since they apparently do not have the rights to the Silmarillion and are merely using the appendices of the Lord of the Rings series and the Hobbit...poorly mind you.

So you have a series based on a treasured work that is not only obvious bullshit, but has to be obvious bullshit or they will get sued. You have important characters to the setting completely different (like the already mentioned Galadriel), factions that are explicitly said by Tolkien not to be involved (like Hobbits and their ancestors) explicitly involved, etc.

If a fandom wasn't upset at this abomination they probably aren't actually fans.

It is all about the stakes and understanding them. Logistics are one way to do that, as long as you don't get carried away too far. Clone army wasn't the only forces the Republic had. I don't even know where you got that idea. They were supposedly made specifically to fight in the war with the separatists and were part of the most dangerous fronts (which is why they get the most screentime), but they were not the only forces the Republic possessed and in fact were a small portion of them.

Moreover the point of the clones wasn't to fight a galactic war, it was to fight a war that Palpatine controlled both sides of and eventually kill the Jedi...of which there were far fewer than the clones.

No one likes people who are so clueless that they can't fathom a logically coherent fictional universe that people enjoy. That isn't to say Star Wars fits that description at the moment, as it absolutely does not.

This is a bunch of garbage. The PT had a strong underlining narrative that was executed pitifully. Time has only let people forgive the fact that they are bad movies because of their great world building. What it added to the franchise exceeds its faults as a whole. The ST doesn't have the positives of the PT to fall back on, and it didn't end on a well received movie like Revenge of the Sith.

Moreover, the comparison is even worse since PT related shit was extremely SUCCESSFUL around the time of the PT. We are talking everything from the EU books to games like Battlefront. Not to mention that the PT inspired the creation of KOTOR (which was released in 2003).

No, not a potato.

However, the international academics at the EHT used a network of observatories globally, including the famed Atacama Large Millimetre/submillimetre Array telescope, which work together to form a virtual telescope that is effectively the size of the Earth.

The project captured light bent by the powerful gravity of the black hole, which is four million times more massive than our Sun and 27,000 light years away from Earth.

The point where light disappears from view, dragged in by the black holes gravity, is known as the event horizon.
Data was collected in 2017, but has taken until now to be processed and refined before being ready for publication. Imaging the Milky Ways crux is technically harder than the Messier 87 programme, the scientists said, even though it is much closer to Earth.
The gas around Sagittarius A* moves much quicker than in the Messier 87 galaxy and, as a result, the brightness is constantly changing, making capturing an unobscured image challenging, with experts likening it to trying to take a clear picture of a puppy quickly chasing its tail.

Dr Ziri Younsi, an astronomer from University College London, an EHT collaboration member and co-author on the research papers describing the new findings, said: Our results are the strongest evidence to date that a black hole resides at the centre of our galaxy.
This black hole is the glue that holds the galaxy together. It is key to our understanding of how the Milky Way formed and will evolve in the future.
