I count seventeen films being shown at my local cinema. Three of them are superhero ones, and that's generously lumping Sonic and Lightyear into that category. Hell let's be extra generous and call it four because they're already selling tickets for the new Thor one.

It's still amazing to me that the other side of the house of mouse had a man plotting 7 films together with a host of different directors and writers all building up to a big team up and plotting threads for the films beyond and making it work when the Star Wars side couldn't keep on track for 3 films.

People who chose a side right when this all started refusing to walk back on it despite 6 weeks of evidence to the contrary? It does seem to be a big issue now that far too many things become totally factionalised and people won't examine beyond "my team"

^ I think that's the key, it would have been good, but not great if placed in it's correct place chronologically but also putting it out as a prequel so even by the standard of an MCU that's afraid of consequences it can't have any stakes it was screwed before release.
